Three Ways to Wear Oxford Shoes + Link-Up!
For MONTHS I have been on the hunt for some neutral, can-go-with-anything casual shoes, but I’ve had the toughest time finding a pair I like. A pair that’s not TOO casual, but also not TOO dressy… something right in the middle.
I have said before that I’m not really a “shoe” girl. Some women just loveee shoes and want all the shoes and have a collection of a billion shoes. I’m not one of those people. I tend to be pretty simple when it comes to shoes and wear the same pair all the time. I wear boots and flats… and in the summer… flip flops. BUT, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like shoes or don’t want new shoes… they just aren’t my “thing” – if that makes sense.
Well, I had the opportunity to visit the Rack Room Shoes location right near my house and found these super fun camel colored oxfords. They’re not normally a style I’d typically be drawn to, but something just told me to try them on. Well, I did and I fell in LOVE with them. They’re really comfortable and they’re that perfect mix of casual (but not TOO casual) while also being a little dressy (without being TOO dressy).
The oxford trend has been around a little while and I can see why so many women are drawn to this style! It’s so fun! Anyway, I wanted to show y’all three ways to style these Violette oxfords by Dirty Laundry.
(Full posts featuring outfit details and whatnot from these styles will be posted soon! For now, I’m just showing your three general style ideas for styling these shoes.)
I love this look. Just a classic “boyfriend” look with the oxfords, skinny jeans, and a schoolboy blazer. This is one of my favorite ways to wear the shoes!
Even though I’m not a shoe girl (as in, I’m not like crazy about shoes and need to have all the shoes), when I DO go shopping for shoes, I have ALWAYS loved shopping at Rack Room Shoes. They have such a HUGE selection and I love that you can ALWAYS get the sweet buy one / get one pair of shoes 50% off deal…
You may be wondering, “Well, did you get a second pair of shoes 50% off when you got these oxfords?” Why yes, yes I did. And you’ll get to see WHO got a pair of shoes for 50% off… on the blog tomorrow. 🙂
OR you can wear them with boyfriend jeans, a leather moto jacket, and an oversized blanket scarf for a casual weekend look.
Or fun a fun, bright look, wear them with colored pants and a graphic t-shirt.
What about you? Do you love the Oxford shoe trend? How would you wear them?
*Thank you SO much to the people at Rack Room Shoes for sponsoring this post. This was SUCH a fun post to do and I had a blast styling these shoes. Thank you for reading and for supporting the sponsors that help support me and my family!

So cute! I have the same problem of sometimes needing shoes that are somewhere in the middle of dressy and casual, I think these might be the solution!
Oxfords are just the best! I bought a pair from Justfab a couple years ago and still wear them all the time!

Hehe Molly you’ve discovered my weakness – not only all shoes but specifically Oxfords (I call them brogues) – at the last count I had 12 pairs and I’m sure I’ve bought a couple more since then! And although it seems I have them in every colour going, I don’t think I have a brown pair like yours… now I’m thinking I need a pair 😉
I adore all three of these outfits: the blazer with the trim is so smart and I love the tartan scarf – I think I’ve worn a tartan scarf every day since the weather got very chilly in the UK a couple of weeks back. So this post gets a great big YESSSSSSSSSS from me…!!
Have an absolutely wonderful Christmas, and thank you for being such a lovely host all year 🙂
