11 Ways to Wear a Blanket Poncho Scarf
The chill is finally in the air for most of us… it’s actually been relatively warm here… but still. 🙂 In any event, we’ve had some cooler days and I know the even cooler days are yet to come. My blanket scarf poncho was one of my most-worn items last winter and I have gotten a lot of questions from people on How to wear a blanket scarf poncho… and while I know that lots of “how to wear a blanket scarf” posts have been done, I wanted to do it at least a little differently.
I’m rambling.
With all that being said, here are 11 Ways to Wear a Blanket Poncho Scarf.

1. Around the neck
Simply grab the blanket poncho in the middle and drape the scarf around your neck and let it hang long and loose.
2. Big and fluffy
Fold the scarf over in half and make a triangle, then grab each end of the scarf and wrap it around your neck so that the “point” of the triangle hangs down in front of you. Fluff it out for extra snuggleness!
3. Like a cape (this one is in honor of my daughter)
My 3-year-old is Frozen obsessed like all other toddlers… well, she likes to wear a “cape” and run like “Anna.” When I wore my scarf like a cape one day she freaked out. So, this is in honor of her.
4. Like a turtleneck. Or something.
Just wrap the scarf around your neck and pull the ends down tightly. Don’t choke yourself though, that would not be good.
5. The headscarf (for especially cold days)
Ignore the fact that I’m not wearing a coat or a sweater, but this headscarf is PERFECT for really cold days… especially when you are wearing it with a warm and fuzzy jacket.
6. The shawl
This is the classiest of classy ways to wear it. Just drape it over your arms. You know, like a shawl.
7. The faux wrap / vest thing
Fold the scarf in half and make a triangle. Hang the scarf over your shoulders and then take the point underneath your arms and tie behind you.
8. The faux snood
Simply wrap the scarf continuously around your neck. Like a snood. 🙂
9. Use it like a blanket. After all, it is a blanket poncho scarf.
These scarves are so big and fluffy and blankety. Might as well wrap yourself up in it and use it like a blanket.
10. Like a faux infinity scarf
Twist the scarf on itself (so that it’s thinner) and then tie the ends together making one long circle / loop of scarf. Then, wrap around your head once or twice to create the illusion that you’re actually wearing an infinity scarf.
11. Like a poncho
These are my favorite blanket scarfs in particular and they are a little different than others because they actually ALSO have built-in “toggles” so you can wear the scarf like a poncho. Just simply find the toggle side, spread the scarf out, lay it over your shoulders and hook the toggle together. Voila!
There you have it! Eleven, yes 11 ways to wear a blanket poncho scarf!
Here are some of the other CRAZY adorable blanket scarfs / toggle ponchos / pinned ponchos / and button ponchos that The Flourish Market carries. Be sure to use code “STILLBEINGMOLLY” for free shipping on any purchase from The Flourish Market!

Love this post! I did a similar post on Tuesday. By the time scarf season rolls around, I ALWAYS forget all the different ways to wear them lol! Glad to add a few more ways to how I tie them. = )
This is awesome! I love blanket scarfs but always end up wearing like your big and fluffy style. Excited to try out some new ways to wear them!
I love this! I always wear my one blanket scarf the same way, which can get boring after a while. I’d say that’s the number one reason I haven’t gotten another one. Thank you for sharing these ideas and breathing new life into my scarf.
