  1. I don’t think we can ever be in rhythm 100% of the time. You should just enjoy all the detours that are coming your way and your rhythm will find you when things all slow down!!!

Btw – loving all your new outfit backdrops and whatnot. Fun!

  2. I SO hear you on trying to cut things off – it’s so hard sometimes! But it’s so, so good when you have those moments when you’re successful at it.
You look gorgeous in this top/skirt combo, btw – love the colors and the fit!

  3. Ha ha, I’ve been under construction too. I’m trying to spend less time in front of the computer as I spend ALL my free time reading blogs right now. I try to only spend a few days a week after work on the computer now instead of every day. I also try to take the weekends off. You look super adorable in this outfit!

  4. Yes indeed I am under-construction too! Love these sentiments. Love the way you have combined colours in your outfit too and how the back on the blouse crosses over. Thanks for joining in with WW

  6. Love the outfit and the metaphor 🙂 Slowing down is SO hard…that has been on my mind a lot lately as I’ve noticed that I’m becoming a bit too obsessed with my blog stats, Facebook, Twitter, Etsy etc. You have a lot going on with all of your travel…hope you can enjoy some quiet time and find the balance you’re wanting. 🙂

  7. Thanks so much for guest posting today!

I loved that top then I saw the back and fell in love again!! GORGEOUS!

I think we are all under construction all the time, working towards being the best us we can be.

  8. That is such a cute top on you, and I seriously love the watch! I totally agree that it is hard to slow down and step away from the “obligations” we create for ourselves, but I’m trying to do the same!

  9. Hmmm. Yes, I’m not a working girl yet (college, graduation year) but I too seem to be jumping up and down on a beat I can’t control. I would love to move on the rhythm of a slow romantic song, but there always seems so much that needs to be done: papers, student job, friends, boyfriend, blog, … 🙂 Life is going like a high speed train at the moment. Good thing the high speed train through Belgium goes to Paris 😉 My way of saying that I will find a solution ^^ xo Nikki

  10. I can relate completely…some day my days are so jam packed, they blend into eachother. I’m trying to learn to balance my expectations for myself and my need to please people with time to just relax and enjoy life, but it’s definitely a work in progress. As an aside, you look fantastic in that top–the colors are so lovely!

  11. Molly, I am always under construction. Life never seems to slow down, especially with two girls running around. I just try and take time for myself and make time for Ross and I. You are doing a great job. You are an inspiration! Both in blogging, fashion and life in general!

  12. Good for you for taking some time to slow down. It’s so important that we turn off distractions so we can really hear what God might be trying to tell us.
I love the colors in this outfit!

  13. I think in order to be good Christians we must constantly be under construction. This past year, I have had to say no more than yes and it has been so hard for me because I, too, am a people pleaser by nature. We just have to understand what pleases Him most and make it top priority. You are doing the right things even if you have to say no sometimes. Love you girl.

  14. I can totally relate! Sometimes I forget to slow down, and as I’m a people pleaser like you I hate saying no to people or turning them down. PS- this outfit is so beautiful on you. The fit of that skirt is so flattering and the colors are great together. 🙂

    1. thank you so much, sydney! i live in a small town in North Carolina and we have A LOT of railroad tracks and little railroad construction areas, so it was on a set of tracks under repair near my house 🙂
