If you know anything about me you know how much I love small businesses. If you know anything about me you know how much I love things that are handmade. If you know anything about me you know how much I love things that have a story behind them. If you know anything about me you know how much I love something that is unique and special. If you know anything about me you know how much I love companies or organizations that give men, women, families a chance to support themselves or give them an opportunity to make a living or a difference.

WE’VE Built is a company that encompasses pretty much all of those things.

WE’VE is a company that fosters and creates relationships with their artisans and the customers. All over the world. They have a strong focus on sustainability – whether it be social, economic, cultural, personal, communal, or ecological.

It’s all about giving people the opportunity to find inspiration all around them and give them an outlet to create beautiful things. And then, give them an opportunity or an outlet to sell those things and be able to create the opportunity for income to support themselves and / or their families.

They use technology to bring all the pieces together. They share video stories between designers and artisans or artisans and buyers. They’re all about creating relationships.

The piece I chose from WE’VE is the Tech Angles Necklace – and the artisan is Beadwork by Amanda.

I learned that over 30 MILLION computers and 130 MILLION mobile phones are thrown out EVERY single year. But only about 25% of those are recycled. How crazy is that?

Amanda takes the pieces of those gadgets and she makes beautiful jewelry and technology accessories out of them!

The necklace I’m wearing has part of a circuit board in it!! In fact, every piece that Amanda makes is handmade of vintage or recycled materials. I’ve been wearing the necklace almost every day since I got it and I always get a comment or compliment on it when I wear it! And I love that it’s become such a conversation piece. From far away you’d never be able to tell that it’s part of a computer in there! 🙂

I love WE’VE’s mission. I LOVE what WE’VE stands for. They have gorgeous products from jewelry to tech accessories, to scarves, to home goods, to you name it.

So many potential Christmas gift ideas here, people!! 🙂

But in all seriousness, I just love love love love love love loooooove this company and all that they are doing for artisans around the world.
