Who Made Your Shoes? Otto Made Mine… #OttoMadeMyShoes
So, you remember how a few weeks ago I told you about a company I have fallen in love with called The Root Collective? Well, I had the unbelievable privilege, honor, and pleasure of being a “model” for their spring / summer 2015 collection photoshoot! AHH! GAH! When Em (the photographer) and Bethany (founder of The Root Collective) asked me to be a part of it, I was seriously blown away and so humbled.
I, of course, jumped at the chance and had a BLAST doing the photoshoot. As strange as this sounds, it was actually very much out of my comfort zone and all that… but it was really so much fun.
It was also a BLAST to see some of the shoes from the new collection from The Root Collective that launches TODAY!! AHH!!! 🙂 I kinda want ALL the shoes. (Use code SPRING for 20% off now through Sunday!!!)
I wanted to share some of the images from the shoot, plus some of the images of Bethany and Em’s recent trip to Guatemala to see Otto (the shoemaker), his team and the women who weave the gorgeous fabrics!
Enjoy!
Love the ladies who lunch…
And now, check out some of the amazing images that Em took in Guatemala.
Bethany and Otto…
Otto’s team… love seeing so many men staying out of the gang life and working hard.
The women who weave…
Love Otto’s smile!
Here’s an AWESOME video that tells the story of The Root Collective better than I ever could…

What about you? What’s your favorite pair from the new collection? Go check it out and take a look! And ask… who made YOUR shoes? (Use code SPRING for 20% off now through Sunday!)
*this is not a sponsored post. I wasn’t compensated for the photoshoot. I did receive a complimentary pair of shoes as a thank you for participating. I truly love and believe in this company and want to shout their message from the rooftops!

This is such a kind and noble gesture. I have so much respect for you for staying true to your personality.
Love you, Molly! It was my honor to welcome you to the photo shoot — you bring so much joy to Otto’s shoes and life in general. I’m so glad to be walking the vision with you!
This story hit close to home since I’m 1/2 Guatemalan and my grandfather use to be a shoe maker in Guatemala. I remember being in Elementary and receiving handmade shoes from him, it was the best feeling ever. I can definitely see myself wearing shoes made by Otto, I can’t wait to order from this brand.
Otto makes some awesome shoes! What a great company! And your pictures are too cute!
ummm you are gorgeous! love these pics!
