Southern Women’s Show #triFABB Meetup – Raleigh RECAP! | #trifabbsws
I am so excited to share today’s recap with you guys. Last week and weekend was a weekend I was looking forward to for MONTHS. As y’all know, I was invited to be a special guest and host, emcee, and coordinate a FASHION SHOW for the Southern Women’s Show, Raleigh. But, this wasn’t like any other fashion show… this was a fashion show showcasing everyday women (not professional models) in an extraordinary way!
Putting together this fashion show was literally something I have dreamed about doing for years. YEARS. And to see it finally come to fruition was a dream come true. It was an insane amount of work and pretty much consumed my life for the last three months, but it was totally worth it.
But, before we get to that, I wanted to share how we kicked off the whole weekend!
I hosted a #triFABB (Triangle Area Bloggers) exclusive pre-show preview event on Thursday night! We had 50 bloggers come out from all around the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham area) and everyone had a great time.

The event and meetup included an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Southern Women’s Show while we had the dress rehearsal for the fashion show. The sponsors of our event went ALL out – Bolt PR helped me get some amazing swag for the bloggers. Little Black Dress Wines, Nothing Bundt Cakes, PDQ, Belk and MORE all provided goodies for everyone.
I loved getting to meet some of my readers and other local bloggers!
At the heart of #trifabb is using our platform as bloggers to give back to the community and to organizations that are making a difference in this world. It’s something that we have done since we started in 2012 and something we will continue to do.
Since World Vision was one of the official partner charities of the Southern Women’s Show, we had a spokeswoman talk to the bloggers about World Vision and what they are doing to make an impact on communities around the globe. Her speech was inspiring, convicting, and heart wrenching. I was so thankful that the bloggers got to hear from her!
Throughout the event, we also had a dress rehearsal for the fashion show! It was fun getting to run through it and get ready for the weekend that was ahead of us.

Gorgeous blogger ladies at the event! So awesome seeing so many wonderful faces.
