Fashion Show at the Southern Women’s Show RECAP | #triFABBsws
YAY! I’m so, so, SO excited to share these images with y’all!
If you read my post from yesterday recapping the pre-show #triFABB meetup at the Southern Women’s Show, then you know today is all about our FASHION SHOW.
Seriously, when I say this fashion show was a labor of love and a dream in the making, I mean it. When I started #triFABB almost three years ago, I said, “Wouldn’t it be awesome if we had a fashion show? And wouldn’t it be awesome if the bloggers and everyday women were the models?”
We tried to do one a few summers ago and the rain put the halt on that dream… so when the organizers of the Southern Women’s Show contacted me about partnering with them and putting together a fashion show, I knew it was such an amazing opportunity.
It ended up being A LOT of work (coordinating clothes, hair, makeup, models, accessories, programs, schedule, etc. for THREE consecutive days!!) but it was totally worth it.
Here are some images and highlights from each day! Again, MASSIVE THANK YOU to Em Grey Photography for being there every step of the way!
The programs:
Me next to my sign! Haha I was so excited to see my name on there! I realize I am a dork…
Day one, the models getting their makeup and hair done! (All sponsors are linked at the bottom of this post!)
Hahaha this was two separate days… I just wanted to show Mia on her phone twice. 🙂
More getting ready. They look beautiful!
So, I started off the show talking about fashion and then I took a volunteer from the audience to “critique” their outfit. It never ended up really being about their outfit (especially since my AWESOME volunteer the first day was wearing a track suit and fanny pack! haha!)… but it was all about confidence and owning the skin you’re in.
Then we started showcasing looks. The models showcased three different “styles” – we had a “work / professional / church” look, a girl’s night / date night look, and all of the models rocked a casual, everyday look.
This is the “work / church / professional” look featuring Mary Beth, Angela, and Mia.
This is the girl’s night / date night look worn by Kristin, Lee, and Susan.
And the casual looks!
After day one I was SO PROUD of them and so excited. We had such a great show and the feedback was amazing.
After day one!
Then it was time for day TWO!
And day THREE!
The goal of the show was to really show women that you can dress stylish no MATTER your age, size, height, etc. It’s all about looking for the right pieces to flatter YOUR BODY.
My gorgeous models!! Aren’t they beautiful???? Seriously!!!
