I absolutely LOVE makeup! I love playing with makeup and I love the art of makeup and I just love how much fun makeup can be. No, I don’t do my makeup every day, that’s for sure… but when I have the chance, I love to go in my bathroom and play around with different looks. It’s relaxing to me. Is that weird?

One thing I learned early on as I was learning about makeup was the importance of using good BRUSHES. Quality makeup brushes can really make it or break it when it comes to good makeup application.

However, the downside is… makeup brushes can be EXPENSIVE. No joke. GOOD makeup brushes can really cost you a pretty penny. I’ve seen makeup brushes run as high as $60-$100… PER BRUSH. Crayyyyyy cray. No one wants to spend that much money on anything… let alone makeup brushes.

I discovered Real Techniques makeup brushes a few years ago and fell in love with them! Then they released the Bold Metals collection and at first, I got just the basic oval shadow brush. I’ve been using it for a few months and LOVE it. It is, BY FAR, my favorite makeup brush in my collection.

Well, here’s the awesome thing… the whole collection just got launched and you don’t have to go to MAC, Sephora, or Ulta and break the bank to get high quality, luxury makeup brushes…

Let me let you in on a little secret… these luxury brushes I’ve been talking about can be found at Walmart! WHAAAAT?! Yeah. I said the same thing when I found out… Who would have thought you could get top shelf makeup brushes at WALMART? Certainly not me… but it’s safe to say I was excited.

Quality brushes for half the price? Yes, please.

I wanna give you a rundown of the brushes in the collection. I didn’t do a makeup tutorial with them (although if that’s something y’all would like to see, PLEASE let me know in the comments!)… but I wanna show you each brush, what it’s purpose is, and the price.

Now, ALL of these brushes have a few things in common… 

• They’re EXTREMELY well made and sturdy. I absolutely LOVE the handles. Chic looking, easy to grip…
• The bristles are SO soft. SOOOO soft. Like silk. BUT, each brush has the right amount of bristles for the brush’s purpose…

Here are the brushes…

101 Triangle Foundation – $23.42

Made for dual duty: flat edge covers large areas of face, while the angled edges contour around eyes and nose. I love the shape of this brush. It’s so unique!

200 Oval Shadow – $15.42

Made with a full, round shape for all-over lid application and seamless blending. This is the brush I’ve used before and I am OBSESSED with it.

300 Tapered Blush – $23.42

Specially-designed tip highlights and sculpts across cheeks for seamless finish.

201 Pointed Crease – $15.42

Densely packed, tapered bristles are perfect for creating that smoky effect with eye shadow.

100 Arched Powder – $25.42

Designed with a domed cut to sweep perfectly across the face for flawless application of pressed or loose powders.

301 Flat Contour – $25.42

Dense head creates shadows and highlights to play up favorite features. This brush I am the MOST excited about. It is the PERFECT contour brush!!

202 Angled Liner – $15.42

A firm, slanted head fits close to the lash line for smooth, even eye liner application. Perfect for wet or gel liner.
