Lilly’s Owl-Themed 2nd Birthday Party
A few days ago I realized that I’m over two weeks behind on sharing pictures from Lilly’s birthday. WHOOPS. My bad. I love sharing images from personal events in our lives like this because, well, this blog has really served as an online journal for me for nearly a decade. It’s fun to look back and reminisce and see all that we’ve done and all that we’ve been through as a family.
Anyway, I’m rambling…
Lilly LOVES owls. For real. Homegirl LOVEEEEES owls. So, when I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday party, without hesitation she said, “OWLS!” So, we had a little owl-themed birthday party for her. We kept it simple and just wanted to focus on having little details, in addition to hosting a fun party for all the people we love and all the people that love Lilly!
I hope you enjoy some of the images from her party!
We had a little guestbook where all the guests made thumbprint owls. 🙂
All of the owl-themed snacks…
John and his dad worked SO hard and made this AMAZING watermelon owl! How awesome is he?!?!?! Lilly LOVED IT.
And, of course, my sister made the owl cake and knocked it out of the park AGAIN. Lilly was SO excited for this owl cake. Plus, it was DELICIOUS.
We had all the water toys out and the kids LOVED it. They had so much fun.My sister brought the cake out to Lilly to blow out her candles and she was the happiest ever!
And yep… we matched. I’m fully comfortable with that. In fact, I love it. I didn’t take a TON of pictures because we were busy having fun, but I at least got some special moments on camera!
We loved celebrating our sweet girl and surrounding her with love, laughter, and, of course, owls!
This is adorable Molly! Owl parties are the cutest!
Such a cute party!

So stinking cute! We had a “Night Owl” slumber party for my daughters 9th last year and it was so much fun. That watermelon is incredible.
So cute! I love your matching dresses.
Molly where did you get the idea for the owl tree? I love it and think it might be great idea for an upcoming baby shower I am organising so some tips or a tutorial would be sooo good!
