As I’m sure 99% of you are aware, it rained for 12 days straight here in North Carolina (and pretty much up and down the whole east coast). And, with it came HOT humidity… and then suddenly COLD humidity… and then just COLD rain. UGH.

I have been praying that it didn’t completely take fall away from us… and it looks like it hasn’t. Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL out and it’s supposed to be that way all week! HUZZAH!!! It even got up into the 70s and was sunny and breezy and just… gorgeous. After 12 days of straight rain, a whole lot of cabin fever, and a swamp for a backyard… I’m ready to ENJOY fall.

BUT, I do know that the last of the warm, 70 degree days are on their way out… and I’m cool with it. But I’m going to savor the beautiful weather as long as I can.

I actually took pictures of this outfit just before the rain came when we still have days in the 80s and 90s. This was one of my favorite end-of-summer, early-pregnancy looks because it’s stretchy, lightweight, comfortable, and easy to dress up with a bag, necklaces, and the cutest shoes around.

So, I guess this is basically my formal farewell to the warm-weather clothes. And I’m okay with it.
