Photography by the amazing Annamarie Akins Photography
First, let me say… don’t be confused – I am not 37 weeks pregnant in these photos (except for the last one at the bottom where it is actually labeled 37 weeks… haha!).
Okay, now that’s out of the way. Back in November when John and I went down to Charleston for Creative at Heart, we had the pleasure of having an anniversary session photographed by the amazing Annamarie Akins. I will share some of my favorites from our session with her, but I also wanted to share the images and what I wore! I didn’t want to do a full on “maternity” session – I really wanted the photo session to be about our marriage and our love for each other, but I also am super grateful to Annamarie for taking a few “maternity” shots of me.
I know that we will treasure these images and this time for years and years to come!
So, remember how I was all like, “Oh I will TOTALLY document this pregnancy like I did with Lilly!” Well, we can all see how well that went! Ahhh, second kid problems. I promise, Baby Stillman 2.0… I love you just as much as I love Lilly… it’s just been a bit, well, crazy?
Well, I figured I should at least TRY and update some. No way I will be able to catch up on everything… so I will just update you guys with a little bit of where we are now.
37 Week Bumpdate
How far along: 37 weeks, 1 day. We’ve got a full-term baby, y’all!
How big is baby: About 6.5 pounds and about 19 inches long. Fruit and veggie scale says “watermelon” and it sure as heck feels like it.
Weight gain: I’ve done pretty well this pregnancy! I’ve gained right at about 30-32 pounds. My goal was no more than 30, but considering I gained like 50-60 pounds when I was pregnant with Lilly, I’m really happy that I’ve kept it so low this time! I really think I have my trainer, Rachel, to thank for it!!
Sleeping: Ehhhhh, let’s be honest. Not spectacular. I definitely have good nights and bad nights. It’s mostly about getting comfortable at this point…
Food cravings: I’m onto sweets now… cake, cupcakes, Zebra cakes… all the cake. I’ve been trying to curb the sweet tooth with strawberry yogurt and granola, but that only goes so far.
Food aversions: None really.
Symptoms: All of them. Emotional? Yup. Baby moving? Yup. I also have been diagnosed with “irritable uterine syndrome” – long story short and without divulging a lot of details, I had to go to the hospital two weeks ago to be monitored all day and they are not totally sure what’s causing this “syndrome,” but it is uncomfortable. VERY uncomfortable.
Miss Anything?: Not having to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes, a good night’s sleep…
Doctor’s appointment: I am going to the midwife weekly now and I actually have an appointment this morning (Monday).
Wedding Rings: On. Hopefully they stay that way!
Clothes: I loooooove leggings and tunics and ponchos and cardigans. Anything stretchy and flowy and comfortable is my best friend.
Movement: This baby moves CONSTANTLY. Way more than I feel like Lilly did… and this baby also has more movements where I can feel specific limbs and stuff. It’s so weird and awesome all at the same time.
Best moment of the week: Having a kid-free, babymoon staycation with my husband. Lilly went to the grandparent’s house and John and I just had such a GREAT time together. It was MUCH needed husband / wife time.
What I’m looking forward to: Actually getting some stuff done in the nursery (hopefully) this week!
What I did / Got for baby: Well, we are heading in the right direction as far as nursery completion goes… in that, the baby will have a place to sleep (no sheets on the mattress yet)… But other than that? Eeek. A wee bit behind.
Prayer requests: Just praying for peace for the next few weeks. I’ve been having a lot of emotional moments (I’m WAY more emotional this time! Yikes!), I’ve been feeling not like myself, and I’m also not really sure how I feel about a repeat c-section and all that. I also am praying for Lilly as she prepares to become a big sister. Praying for physical comfort as well as I’m getting increasingly uncomfortable. Ultimately, the most important thing for me is prayer for the healthy delivery and birth of our baby! A healthy baby is all we want and pray for!
Thank y’all for being so awesome and being such an awesome community! <3

You are looking so great! I remember with my 2nd feeling so emotional and actually so worried about whether or not I would love the 2nd baby as much..or rather how could I possibly have enough room in my heart to love the 2nd the same. Boy was I ridiculous!! Prayers coming your way.
Those red shoes are so cute and you are so close, yay!

Oh your maternity photos are lovely! I have a maternity tank that has similar detailing to your dress, it’s a nice twist to a classic black piece 🙂
Your 37 week bumpdate photo is really cute too – you’re still looking well so close to the end! Hope that the discomforts that come along with being so close to the end get better or easier to deal with.
Thank you for the link up!
