Fashion for Good Friday: Sseko Designs
Today’s Fashion for Good Friday feature is another FAVORITE of mine… I’m sensing a theme here. Yep, I am a HUGE, huge, huge fan of Sseko Designs. They have an amazing story… it started as a company with a goal of helping women in Uganda be able to pursue an education, but it has become so much more than that.
Sseko is a fashion brand that works to create an environment of dignity, honor, and dedication to a craft. It is a brand that gives women the opportunity to pursue their dreams. They also partner with artisan groups in other areas of east Africa to produce ethically made textiles and fine leather goods.
Here are some of the Sseko items I’ve featured on this blog before…
First? This gorgeous leather foldover clutch from Sseko Designs.
Here are a couple of ways I have worn my beloved Sseko strap sandals… Here are some videos on how to tie them!
Brown leather sandal base and Similar gold shimmer ribbons
And here are some more of the gorgeous Sseko straps and accents…
More of the gorgeous Sseko bags and scarves.
Here are some of my favorite pieces from their Spring 2016 collection:
Bright Emerald Bucket Bag | Caramel and Gold Crossover Sandal | Tiko Tote in Safari and Black
Black Leather Wedge Sandals | Roseline Chiffon Ribbons | Arroyo Chiffon Sandal Ribbons
SO many gorgeous pieces! I can’t even.
Be sure to check out Sseko Designs! You will fall in LOVE with their gorgeous sandals, shoes, accessories, bags, etc.! Also, follow them on Instagram – they share GORGEOUS images and stories of their artisans.
What about you? Have you heard of Sseko before?
*Not sponsored! Just another installment of my fashion for good series. They don’t even know that I’m doing this post. 🙂
I have a pair of Sseko sandals and LOVE them. 🙂 My feet are weird and won’t allow me to wear them all the time, but I still wear them when I can. I’m SO excited about the new wedge sandals! I really want to try them out to see if they will be easier for my feet to deal with. Thanks for sharing about fair trade stuff; I’ve just recently started finding fair trade places and would love to transition to buying more.
