Easy Hairstyle for New Moms | Guest Post by Natalia from Ma Nouvelle Mode
Hey y’all! It’s Molly, here. FIRST… THANK YOU for stopping by still being molly. If you’re new here, WELCOME! I hope you stay and take a look around! If you’re a regular reader, HEY THERE, FRIEND!
So, I just had Baby #2! I’ve got some AMAZING blog friends who are helping me out over the next few weeks by sharing some AWESOME posts. Everything from fashion and style to life and motherhood. I am so appreciative of all of these ladies for helping me and giving me a little bit of a breather as I take some time to rest and spend time with my family. I didn’t do a great job of that when Lilly was born, so I’m trying to do a little better this time. 🙂 I have some of my own content already planned and written… but I will be peppering in some of these guest posts, too! I hope you will take the time to read them and leave them some love! I also hope you’ll take the time to visit their blogs and check them out. Each one of them is amazing.
Thank you for supporting me, this blog, and my family! I might be biased, but I think I have the best readers around! 🙂
xo, Molly

Hello everyone! My name is Natalia and I blog over at Ma Nouvelle Mode. Molly asked me to pop over for a guest post while she’s off having baby number 2 and I’m happy to do it!
I met Molly a year and a half ago when we both went to the Stitch Fix getaway in San Fransisco. I just love her, as I am sure you guys do to, she’s such a joy, fun-loving person and a pleasure to be around. We have since stayed friends and I feel honored to be posting on her site today!
Since Molly is in the throws of motherhood 2.0 I thought it would only be appropriate to write something that has to do with being a new mom. I do a lot of hairstyles on my site, so I thought it’d be perfect to share a hairstyle that would be perfect for new moms. Because seriously, who has time for their hair when there’s little ones running around? I know I most certainly didn’t!
So let’s do this. I figured, the simpler the better, right? I want to be practical. So I’m gonna break it down in photos for you below and I think you’ll get it!
- Start by sectioning off the top half of your hair and securing it in a ponytail leaving the sides out completely.
- Take the top section of one side of the hair that’s been left out and twist it over and across the ponytail, securing it with a bobby pin on the other side.
- Repeat the second step on the other side of the ponytail.
- Then take the bottom half of the hair from the original side that you started on and twist that over.
- Finally, repeat that step on the other side, securing with a bobby pin as you go, and you’re done!
You now have a beautiful ponytail without much effort at all! How’s that for a mom hairstyle?! You get your hair out of your face and contained all the while having it look nice as well. I call that a win.
There you have it! And you know what? Even if you’re not a new mom, you can totally pull of this hairstyle. Heck, my babies are 5 and 8 years old! Definitely not a new momma anymore… 🙁
What do you think, is this a style you’d wear?
Thank you Molly for having me! I can’t wait to ‘meet’ your gorgeous baby and specially find out if it’s a boy or a girl!!
