Spring 2016 CAUSEBOX Review | #MyCausebox
This is my second CAUSEBOX review and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with it! CAUSEBOX is totally my new favorite subscription box. It is an ethical, fair trade, and purpose-filled quarterly subscription service that highlights various give-back, nonprofit, or fair trade companies!
The winter CAUSEBOX was amazing and so I was really excited to see what was in the Spring box. So, I am sharing with y’all what came! The descriptions are modified from the little pamphlet in the box… but I’ll also share my thoughts with you!
The Created Co. – Exclusive “Bloom” Mug
The Created Co. aims to inspire people to lead lives of intentionality by focusing on the simplest an most profound of questions: “What was I created for?” They believe that many of life’s most important communal experiences happen over a drink – and they make drink ware that encourages and inspires. This “Bloom” mug was designed exclusively for CAUSEBOX members – an asks the question: “How will you bloom this Spring?” The Created Co. donates a portion of their profits to charity: water.
This mug is so pretty! I am not a coffee drinker, but I do love a cup of hot tea and so I know it will be one I will use often!
Conscious Magazine – Issue 04
Conscious Magazine tells the stories of individuals who are igniting positive change within their communities – from social justice advocates and entrepreneurs, to educators and artists. Issue 04 is fresh off the presses, and CAUSEBOX members are some of its first readers!
I have heard A LOT about Conscious Mag. and so I’m SO excited to receive my first issue! I have wanted to read it for awhile – my friend Bethany speaks really highly of it.
OSEA – Atmosphere Protection Cream
OSEA, a family business based in Malibu, California, makes amazing skin and cosmetic products, and this face cream is one of their very best sellers. It is a light-weight daily moisturizer that uses an emollient algae base and an advance blend of dermal proteins to protect against environmental damage. In other words, the ingredients in this product are derived from the sea, and found in nature, rather than being designed in laboratories. OSEA stands for ocean, sun, earth, and atmosphere – and they are committed to the environment in a way that is extremely uncommon in the skincare industry. OSEA harvests all of their ingredients safely, naturally, and sustainably.
I actually haven’t had a chance to try this out yet, but I love that they use all natural ingredients!
The Giving Keys – Classic “Hope” Necklace
What are you hopeful for? The Giving Keys encourages you to embrace the word on your key, and then pass it on when someone needs the word more than you. What better word to embrace than “hope” – it gives us purpose, and helps us remain steadfast, optimistic, and intentional. We are at our best when we are hopeful. In addition to providing inspiration, The Giving Keys employs and provides opportunities for the homeless – training them to stamp the words that illuminate each key.
I am a HUGE fan of The Giving Keys. In fact, I already own two other Giving Keys necklaces… so I was PUMPED to see them in this month’s box! This HOPE necklace is beautiful and will be one I will wear often this spring.
CAUSEBOX – Reclaimed Wood Frame & Christopher Craig x CAUSEBOX – “Hope” 5×7 foiled print
CAUSEBOX collaborated with artist Christopher Craig to bring an exclusive print to celebrate the season and inspire HOPE. The frame was made by hand out of reclaimed Douglas Fir in Venice Beach, California.
I am in love with this print and frame. I’ve already put them on my mantle in my living room and I love how beautiful they are. I also love that you can easily interchange the print in the gorgeous wood frame.
Speak Your Silence – Stitch Kit
1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused prior to the age of 18. Most will never tell a soul. This Stitch Kit allows you to sew an orange zig-zag onto one or a few articles of clothing – which symbolizes your voice frequency By wearing the stitch, you become a voice that can help move the issue of child sexual abuse from a taboo to a cause people champion and support. Speak Your Silence is CAUSEBOX’s nonprofit partner this spring.
I love the mission behind the Stitch Kit. Human trafficking is often a result of child sexual abuse, and ending human trafficking is one of my big passions. I love that this is another way I can be a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves!
ACANELA – Shashi: India Spice Blend
When you first catch the scent of aCanela’s spice blend, you may just rush over to the kitchen and start cooking. It is Shashi’s own special blend, used in authentic home cooking classes she teaches in Udaipur, India. Shashi’s cooking classes have helped restore her family with hope and purpose – and aCanela has procured this immersive and authentic traveling experience and delivered it directly through CAUSEBOX. (Find recipes for this spice blend on acanela.com)
This spice blend smells amazing! I can’t WAIT to use it the next time I make an Indian-inspired dish!
That’s my review of the spring CAUSEBOX! Overall this box was a HUGE hit. The quality and VALUE of the products you get for the quarterly price is totally worth it. I look forward to it so much!
How about you? Have you tried CAUSEBOX?
