Dressing with Purpose – Southern Women’s Show 2016 Recap
I am so excited to share a recap of my fashion show at this year’s 2016 Southern Women’s Show! I was so honored and humbled that the show asked me back for a second year in a row to be a “special guest” and put on a fashion show during the three days of the HUGE Southern Women’s Show here in Raleigh!
The theme of this year’s fashion show was “Dressing With Purpose: Fill Your Closet with JOY!” It gave me the awesome opportunity to highlight some of my favorite fair trade and ethical fashion brands in addition to other amazing companies that are spreading dignity across the globe!
I wanted to share some images from the show with y’all!
Oh, and on Thursday night (before the show), we held our second annual triFABB meetup and blogger preview. It was basically a VIP / behind-the-scenes tour of the show along with some awesome food, drinks, and goodies! (and yes, that is me wearing Amos in that first picture… haha! He came with me to the pre-show meetup and preview and was my adorable assistant)
Some of my favorite ladies and fellow bloggers at the pre-show meetup!
We had a representative speak to us about Teen Cancer America, our partner non-profit for the meetup and Southern Women’s Show.
All of our pre-show triFABB / Southern Women’s Show VIP meetup attendees!
Me and Emily… I couldn’t do so much of what I do without her! I’m SO grateful for her friendship.
And then it was GAME TIME. Or show time, I should say. We had a fashion show Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Southern Women’s Show! I was the host, “curator” (if you will), and emcee. 🙂
Below is the show program that I designed and had printed for those in the audience. I thought y’all might like to see it!
Had to get a shot with the big sign! You can see my show each day of the SWS! My shirt says “People are Not Property” and is from Sudara.
Racks backstage with clothes ready! If you see a look you love, you can shop most (not all, but most) of the looks here. Use code STILLBEINGMOLLY for free shipping! 🙂
Oh, and so our show was on RIGHT after tWitch – as in tWitch from So You Think You Can Dance, the Ellen DeGeneres show, and a few movies! He was SO nice and we got to meet him backstage. NBD.
The crowd for our show! It was PACKED!!!!
And now some images from the fashion show…
Welcoming our audience and talking a little bit about the Dressing with Purpose show, about Fashion Revolution, ethical fashion, etc.

It was such an honor to be invited back again this year to do a fashion show and I had so much fun putting this one together. It was a great opportunity to showcase some amazing brands and talk about ways to shop ethically and fill our closets with JOY.

May I ask about your cute Ring Sling and its story? 🙂
I’d like to share this Blog on my Bend Babywearers pages, because you are just so dang cute with babe in the sling! 🙂
Just wondering about the RS Company and their ‘purpose’. 🙂
Thanks! 🙂

Since we never got to see the other group’s first two outfits, it was fun to see them in this post!
