“I Found a Starfish!”
As we prepared to head to the beach, Lilly talked nonstop about two things… building a sandcastle and finding a starfish.
Well, we played in the sand a BUNCH over the course of our stay, but finding a starfish was a little more difficult. So, I did what any parent would naturally do… I bought a pink starfish at the store and planted it. Because, naturally.
Here’s the starfish hidden in a little bush…
And here she is finding the starfish…
SHE WAS SO EXCITED.
The smile on her face was worth. it.
The things we do for our kids… right? 🙂

Hi! I’m a new follower of your blog!!! You have the sweetest little family and I love your style! I am a young mom (one baby in heaven from a miscarriage and one almost ten-month-old daughter, Serenity) and a Christian, so finding your blog was such a sweet surprise! Many blessings!!

My dad did the same thing for me with a conch shell on one vacation, and I still remember how happy I was digging it up! So precious!
Love that you had the thought to buy a starfish and plant it for her to find. I never would have thought about doing that when my girls were little. I would just direct them to another hidden treasure instead. I have always wanted to find a sea horse, alive , and to bring it home as pet. Want to hide one for me?
