First off, I want to THANK YOU guys for the support from yesterday’s post and announcement on my collaboration with Elegantees. Y’all BLEW it out of the water and Elegantees had a RECORD SALES DAY and sold out of the “Molly” tunic in some colors and sizes!! That also means the sewing center expansion in Nepal is FULLY FUNDED and they can hire more women!!!! Wow! I mean, how amazing is that? Your purchase CAN and DOES make a difference!!!!!
Anyway… on to today’s post!!
When I became a mom, I quickly realized how much STUFF you have to take with you just to go to around the corner. I mean, diapers, wipes, extra changes of clothes, pacis, bottles, toys, hand sanitizer, chap stick, and all the other usual baby related things. I mean, over the past three years, I’ve been able to whittle that down and I’ve got it down to a pretty good, efficient amount… but man, it’s no wonder diaper bags are always big!
I really don’t mean for this to sound shallow at all, but I’ve always wanted to make sure that my diaper bag doesn’t actually LOOK like a diaper bag. I mean, I realize that my stuff takes up about 2% of my purse nowadays and everything else is diaper bag contents, but that doesn’t mean I want it to be a glaring diaper bag when I’m out and about. I want my bag to be stylish, have a high-capacity, AND functional. WHO IS WITH ME?!
When I was up in NYC for Blogger Bash back in July, I met the awesome folks at Kalencom New Orleans and I loved learning about this 45+ year old, family owned and operated company. They sell a lot of baby and toddler related stuff, but one thing they specialize in is their GORGEOUS line of diaper bags!!
But honestly what I love most about their diaper bags is… they don’t look like diaper bags!! They’re beautiful!
This “Berlin” diaper bag in “rose petal” is beautiful, super spacious, and I love how it functions as both a gorgeous, classic bag, while also capable of holding ALLTHETHINGS. I also love that it has a “dressier” feel to it, so I can really use it for any occasion – casual OR more formal.
What do you think? If you’re a mama, what kind of diaper bag do you use? Do you go for style over function? Function over style? Or do you look for a combination of both? I’d love to know your favorites!
And, be sure to use the code “SBMOLLY15” for 15% off your purchase at Kalencom!
And, for something EXTRA fun, I’ve teamed up with my girl Carly from Lipgloss and Crayons to share our love of Kalencom’s diaper bags and she’s showing how she styles their gorgeous quilted diaper bag!
Head on over to her blog to check out how she styles it!
Do you mind me asking what size you wear in the Amelia? Thinking about ordering my first one!
In this dress I am wearing a size Large 🙂 the material is really stretchy! 🙂
Ok that bag is too much cuteness!! I love it!
love everything about this!!! the dress, the shoes, and that BAG!!!! 🙂
