Over the last few years, something I’ve written and re-written over and over again is my “mission statement” for this blog. And, in a lot of ways, my blog mission statement tends to reflect my life mission statement.
Like all good [blog] mission statements (at least in my humble opinion), they’re ever evolving and ever changing with LIFE. Because, let’s be honest… stuff happens. We change. Life changes. Very rarely are we the same person this year that we were two years ago. So, I believe that it’s good to be focused on our life’s work, but also flexible and willing to shift when life is telling us to shift.
I recently rewrote my mission statement for this blog and, for some reason, I’ve never really shared it before. I don’t know why, to be honest. Maybe you as a reader care… maybe you don’t… but I wanted to share it with you today because I want you to know the heart, soul, and purpose behind WHY I do this blog and why I love this weird job of mine.
So here you go…
Still Being Molly is a life and style blog that exists to inspire women to walk joyfully and confidently in purpose, and to know that they were created with a purpose for a purpose.
I believe that ALL of us were created in the image of God and that we ALL are meant for great things while we are on this planet… and I want to show you (yes, you) that you are AMAZING and you don’t have to pigeonhole yourself or limit yourself or doubt yourself. Look, this is something I struggle with DAILY. I still don’t have it figured out… not even close. I fail CONSTANTLY and regularly because I’m human and I’m flawed. That’s called growth. Or maturity… or something.
My goal with EVERY single blog post I publish is to inspire you in some way shape or form… whether it’s something as simple as trying a new style, maybe a new makeup that gives you a boost of confidence, or even something like encouraging you to get involved in your community… I want you to walk away every day with a little bit more joy in your life.
Maybe that’s a lofty goal. Maybe the goal of putting a smile on the face of y’all every day is weird or too much or impossible or whathaveyou. But it’s true. That’s what I love. That’s what I want to do. I want to bring joy to people and inspire them to do great things – even if it’s just within their own four walls of their home. I love you guys and can’t thank you enough for being the best readers on the planet. I truly believe I have the greatest, most encouraging readers out there.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I have only recently stumbled onto your blog & you certainly put a smile on my face. You are so encouraging; your passion for the Lord is also encouraging too and uplifting to me in my spiritual walk! I also love your LuLaRoe posts; I’ve newly discovered LuLa & I’m obsessed! 😉

I used to read several blogs each day, but just don’t have the time or interest that I once had. But I continue to read yours every day because of the beautiful and positive messages and wonderful photos. I don’t even like fashion! So keep up the good work, you’re succeeding wonderfully at your mission.
I love your mission statement and your posts definitely always leave me with a smile! I love this dress. I still haven’t tried the Carly but it’s on my list! 😉
