Tea Collection: for Littlest Citizens of the World

You guys VERY well know by now how much I love sharing some of my favorite companies and brands with you… ESPECIALLY brands that are trying to make the world a better place. Well, I thought it was about time I shared one of my FAVORITE kid’s clothing companies with you…  Tea Collection!

I have been OBSESSED with Tea Collection since Lilly was just a baby! And it has really been a go-to brand for me when it comes to investing in high-quality clothing for my kiddos that is not only ADORABLE and stylish, but also REALLY well made AND made with intention and care.

One of the things that I love most about Tea Collection is their dedication to responsible relationships and ethical sourcing when it comes to producing their clothing. Since Tea is really a “global” brand, they really value ALL the people involved in the making of their clothes.

They follow ethical sourcing practices so they can really feel good about their global impact. Also, they are mindful of their presence in the world and their responsibility to those around them. They are incredibly diligent to ensure that their partners around the globe follow the highest possible standards when it comes to manufacturing and sourcing. Several of the factories that produce Tea clothing have been their partners for nearly a decade. They have worked really hard to build financially sound, long-term, sustainable relationships with them to the point that they’ve even gotten to know their families personally. How awesome is that?

Another thing that I LOVE about Tea is how unique and playful their clothing is… while also being globally minded and inspired. So, twice each year, the Tea designers travel the world in search of different inspiration for their children’s clothing collection. They discover new places and faces, different time-honored traditions and LOTS of handmade creations. And then they bring what they find around the world home and then translate it into a twirly dress, a fun graphic tee, or a printed romper. They REALLY make such beautiful, unique stuff!

I also love that their clothes are SO well made and REALLY hold up to washes and plays and mud and dirt and exploring and dancing and jumping. I have some Tea clothes of Lilly’s that she has worn for two or three years (dresses into tunics into shirts…). Lilly plays HARD (and Amos spits up… hahah!) and so their clothes get dirty. I love that the colors don’t fade, there aren’t any holes, and they really feel great.

Tea definitely is going to be a higher-end clothing brand for kiddos, but for me, it’s worth it… because I’m buying better and buying well made, which means I’m ultimately buying LESS.  I always feel like I’ve hit the JACKPOT if I find something Tea Collection at a consignment sale or thrift store! haha!
