JOIN ME! The 2nd Annual 25 Acts of Random Christmas Kindness 2016 – #triKind25
It’s that time of year again – time for the 2nd annual 25 Random Acts of Christmas Kindness!!
Now, if you’re new to the blog or not sure what I’m talking about… let me explain. If you’re a regular reader, you know exactly what I’m talking about. 🙂
Ever since Lilly was born, I’ve wanted to do something with her that really teaches her early on about the importance of serving and the importance of giving… especially during the holiday season. I don’t ever want this season to be about “me, me, me” – it should always be about serving others!
She was just too young in 2014 to do this, but last year, she was at the perfect age to start this tradition and so as a family, we started the “25 Random Acts of Christmas Kindness” tradition and it took off. At first, I didn’t even want to tell anyone outside our immediate family we were doing this. However, word quickly spread about what we were doing and soon people were begging me to share our daily updates! So, last year, from December 1st – 25th we posted our “Random Act of Kindness” every day on my personal Facebook page.
I had NO idea how much it would inspire people! The idea spread and friends from all over started doing it themselves or with their families or their own kids. It was crazy!! I LOVED it. That’s exactly what the spirit of it was meant to be.
I posted a recap on my blog at the end of the month, and the feedback I got was overwhelming!! (In a good way!!):
Well, this year I am continuing the tradition with both Lilly AND now with Amos, too! BUT… the exciting thing, is this year is going to be even bigger and better than ever!!
I am SUPER pumped to share with you guys that I am partnering with ABC 11 WTVD on this year’s 25 Random Acts of Kindness!! Together, we are hoping to inspire THOUSANDS of people to go out into the community and do random acts of kindness.. because, let’s be honest… our communities need people being kinder to each other more than ever.
So how does it work?
Download the Random Acts of Kindness calendar here:
Click here to download the PDF version of the 2016 Random Acts of Christmas Kindness Calendar
Print it out, set it as your background, whatever… and then perform a random act of kindness throughout December!! Go out in the community and use each day’s task as a “challenge” to make a positive impact on your community!
Take a picture or video each day (if you want) and share it on social media! Use the hashtag #triKind25 and tag me (@stillbeingmolly) and ABC 11 (@abc11_wtvd)!
ABC11 is actually going to be airing a story TODAY (Tuesday, November 28th at 4pm) on this!! I will post a link here when it is live!
Do you have to live in North Carolina to participate?
NO!! ANYONE can participate!! My vision is for hundreds of THOUSANDS of people around the COUNTRY (heck, the WORLD!!!) to be out there performing random acts of kindness this December!!!! I want to make this world a better place and I want you to help me!!!!
What if I want to do something different on a particular day?
Do it!!! Don’t feel like you HAVE to do the tasks on the calendar. Come up with your own!! I have a blog post with 366 Random Act of Kindness ideas that you can draw ideas from… Don’t feel locked into the ones I suggested. The whole purpose is to get people out there performing random acts of kindness!!!!!
Molly, this is great! I’m so glad you’re doing it again this year. I remember when you did it last year and thought it was really cool. I’m glad to see it’s an annual tradition now!
I love this ! So glad that you are doing it again this year.
I love that you do this! I will add a couple to my calendar. My sorority always did ROAK on campus and they were some of my favorite events even when it was just putting post-its with encouraging messages on tables and desks in the libraries. Jess at Just Jess
How wonderful! And Congrats on being featured on 11.
Love this! Will definitely be doing some of these this year!
I loved when you did this last year! I was thinking of trying it this year myself. There are a few I won’t be able to do but many I can.
