Lost My Name – The Sweetest Customized Children’s Books Review AND Giveaway!
Huge thank you to LostMy.Name for sponsoring this post! I absolutely ADORE these books and it was an HONOR to work with this company on this post!! As always, I ONLY share with y’all things I truly love and believe in!
We are huge book fans in this house. I always loved to read and had a very creative imagination as a kid and so I have wanted to pass those things on, especially my love for reading, to our kids! Ever since Lilly was born (and of course, Amos too!), we have read to them every day! Lilly even loves to “read” to herself now, too! We love going to the library and checking out new books and discovering new favorites… but we also love books that are just extra special that are going to be permanent on our bookshelves for a long time.
Enter Lost My Name.
I first discovered these custom children’s books over the summer and IMMEDIATELY loved them! I loved how creative they were and I loved how they could bring reading to life and make it “real” and personal for the kiddos.
The books are colorful, the stories are SO cute, and I love how each one is so special for each kid. Each book follows the general premise that there is a little boy or a little girl who has “lost his / her name.” So, he (or she) goes on an adventure to find the letters that make up their name! Along the way they meet different animals and characters that start with the corresponding letters of their name and at the end of the story, the little boy or girl has found all the letters and has their name back!
While the general premise of each story is the same, each book is definitely very different because you’re dealing with different letters!
Amos has his own story and Lilly has her own story! And they each love (well, at least Lilly does for sure!) reading each other’s stories!!
Another thing that is really awesome is that you can customize the look of the character when you pick our your book. Lilly even said the first time she read her book, “That little girl is named Lilly, too! And she has blonde curly hair just like me!!”
Talk about warming a mama’s heart!
I had to include this picture because… hahahaha!!! Lilly is giving Amos the death stare! “Don’t you steal my book, Amos!”
Amos was basically just trying to eat the book. One day he will really appreciate it for what it is… 🙂
Amos with his own book!
And again, I had to include this picture because this is just real life with two kids. You can’t just peacefully read a book without the big sister trying to push baby brother off daddy’s lap… 🙂
In addition to customized children’s books, Lost My Name also has awesome custom alphabet posters (along with a couple other books and stuff, too!!)
Lilly LOVES her poster and loves trying to find the letters that make up her name! We hung it in her room and she is a big fan.
Amos’s fit perfectly on his wall and I just love it!
We seriously ADORE these books and I can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for the PERFECT unique gift to give to a new mama or a kiddo in your life, seriously look no further than Lost My Name!! They’re AMAZING!!!!!

Look at these cuties! I love this Molly. I loved reading so much as a child so I’m hoping to start reading to my kids every night once I finally have one. 🙂

Their blog is wonderful too! So many fun craft ideas and even magic tricks to learn!!
This is awesome! I think I’ve seen this book before but I didn’t know anything about it. That’s so cute that you can customize the look of the character as well as the name 🙂

These are adorable! Thanks for sharing! My 5 year old would love the Intergalactic book. But I tried the preview and what I really loved is that it included the accent mark in my daughter’s name. Her name is Sofía with an accent mark over the i and that’s exactly how it was done. That’s really fantastic because other companies with similar products didn’t accept the í and that was a deal breaker for me. I think I’ll be putting your discount code to good use. Thanks a bunch!
aww, i would love to get the name book for my new niece!

Oh my GOODNESS!!! I love this idea…my boys would love this. I like how the letter of their first name is featured throughout the book…wonderful! And also..loving the picture of the pushing….real life yes! Sometimes you just want Dad to yourself, right?! 🙂

I love these books! Entered the giveaway and looking into buying for my girls! What a great gift!!
I like both books The little boy/girl who lost his/her name and the The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home. I live in an apartment so the second book wouldn’t be so personal for my son.
