My Amazon Prime Now Review: Why it is the Best & $100 Gift Card to Amazon
Since it’s 2017, I’m going to venture to guess that you’ve heard of Amazon Prime. BUT, have you heard of Amazon Prime Now?
Let me tell you a quick story… I remember back in 2012 I was at my previous job working in the office one day and my boss came in and started talking about this new thing Amazon was working on. He said, “It’s same day delivery! Like, you order it and within a few hours it shows up at your house!”
All of us in the office thought no way this could be true. How could that even work? Does your package get delivered by a drone?! How does it travel that far that quickly?! The concept was incomprehensible to us, but our boss insisted this was a thing that was coming.
Here we are. 2017… and this is a thing that exists. Our area got Amazon Prime Now about a year ago and it is amazing.
So what is Amazon Prime Now and how does it work?!
Amazon Prime Now is superfast delivery on TENS OF THOUSANDS of items that you can find on Amazon. You can shop via PrimeNow.com or on the Prime Now mobile app. You can get gifts, electronics, groceries, seasonal and household items, and sooooo much more. You place your order and your package is on your doorstep, *for free*, within TWO HOURS. And for $7.99, you can have it delivered within ONE hour. Now, two hour / same day delivery is free if you have an Amazon Prime membership, you just are encouraged to tip the driver. Orders also have to be a minimum of $35.
Amazon Prime Now is not available in *all* cities yet, but since launching in Manhattan in December of 2014, it has expanded to over 30 U.S. cities. You can check the website to see if it available in your city!
I use Amazon Prime Now all the time. Legitimately all the time. It is one of those services that is a LIFESAVER. If I’m out of milk, but know that I just can’t run to the store… or if I’m missing some key ingredients for dinner that night… or if it’s the night before your son turns one and you realize you haven’t bought him a present yet (yep, totally happened)… just order it on Amazon Prime Now and boom! It’s on your door within a few hours.
So, since Mother’s Day is coming up… this is the PERFECT time to get that last minute gift for the mama or mom-to-be or mother-figure in your life. Also, if the mom in your life doesn’t have an Amazon Prime subscription, that’s probably the perfect gift in and of itself.
When you log into the Amazon Prime Now app, you can see a whole category for a Mother’s Day gift guide…
You can get everything from adorable and gorgeous greeting cards, notebooks, and prints from Minted (yes, on Amazon!!):
Delicious treats for mom to indulge a little… 🙂 (these are some of my favorites!)
The tech stuff that she’s had on her list for awhile like a FitBit or Amazon Echo…
Something to pamper herself and, of course you can’t go wrong with a gift card!
Also, on this Mother’s Day, Amazon Prime Now will also have fresh flower delivery! SO you can even order a fresh bouquet of flowers for yourself or for the mom in your life and have them delivered within a few hours!
Now what about you? Have you ever tried or used Amazon Prime Now? What might your order for yourself or for mom?
