So a couple of weeks ago, I was in my favorite local boutique, The Flourish Market, and I was talking with my friend Emily and Katy about the off the shoulder tops that we are seeing everywhere. As y’all know, I am typically NOT one to buy something that’s trendy just for the sake of the trend… but at the same time, I do like to push myself outside of my style comfort zone and give it a shot if I can.  I was afraid that off-the-shoulder tops were not going to be for me. But, Katy and Emily assured me that I would love them and I should at least give them a shot. This chambray off the shoulder top (made in the USA!) had just come back in stock so they told me to try it on. And… I am not going to lie… I loved it!

So I got the top and brought it home and tried it on for my husband and asked him what he thought and he was like, “YES. Keep that.”

It got the husband approval, so I kept it. It is now my go-to date night top!

A few weekends ago, John and I had a weekend away in the mountains (by ourselves!!!) and we went out for a really nice dinner. This was the outfit I wore and I loved it (and so did John!). 

Admittedly, off-the-shoulder tops aren’t all that practical for like, running around with kids (haha!!), but I definitely love it for date night or girl’s night out!
