Stitch Fix Review #46
This is Stitch Fix Review #46 for me! I love Stitch Fix, love the company, and love sharing with you guys what I got, what I thought, and what I kept (or didn’t keep!)
SPOILER ALERT: I didn’t keep anything in this fix. Like I have said before, I looooove Stitch Fix, but I view Stitch Fix very differently now at fix #46 than I did at fix #1. For me, it’s about investing in quality pieces I can wear over and over again. It’s about finding great, USA made or ethically made items that I love. And it’s about trying a new style or a new item that maybe I wouldn’t have picked out for myself. My stylist, Kimberly J. is amazing and has been “with me” for over three years. We have a great rapport and she totally gets my style… some months are great and other fixes are misses… but that’s okay!!
I love to share with you guys the good, the bad, and the HUH?
With all that being said… here’s what I got in my fix this month, what I thought, and why I decided *not* to keep it.
Renee C – “Leena Printed Skirt” – Size XL – $54 (Made in the USA)
While I really did like this skirt, I didn’t LOVE it. I actually had a hard time styling it with items I already had in my closet. I tried on a few different tops with it and couldn’t find anything that I really loved with it. So, that means I wouldn’t wear it that much… so that also means that I had to return it.
En Elly – “Jilian Tie Front Top” – Size XL – $58
Now this top I was honestly pleasantly surprised about this top. I did not, at all, think I was going to like it. And I put it on and I was like… “ohhhhhhhh this actually looks good!” BUT, at the end of the day, while I did like it… I couldn’t picture how much I’d actually wear it. So, since I was on the fence, it had to be a “no.” I’m in that space right now where if it’s not a hard YES, then it is a no.
Kut From the Kloth – “Benter Mixed Material Top” – Size XL – $58
This was a tough one for me. I honestly REALLY loved this top, but it was a hair too big (it doesn’t appear too big in the pictures, but it was definitely too big), and it was so comfortable… but I wasn’t sure if this would be a top I’d wear for years to come. It was more of a top that I think I’d love this year, but would probably get rid of next year… I’m trying to do better about NOT buying pieces like that, so I returned this one.
Mystic Los Angeles – “Nyla Ponte Knit Dress” – Size XL – $58 (Made in the USA)
My husband was insistent that I keep this dress. In fact, he nearly begged me to keep it. He came up with every excuse in the book as to why I should keep it… “WHAT ABOUT DATE NIGHT?” he said… and I said, “Yes, for all those super fancy dates we go on all the time?” (We do not go on fancy dates all the time… They happen like once a year.) Hahaha so he was sad, but I returned this dress mainly because I know I’d raaaaaarely wear it… But, that doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it. It is super comfortable and really well made, but it just wasn’t for me.
41Hawthorn – “Lexi Faux Wrap Knit Dress – Size XL – $78
This dress was a pretty quick and easy no. It was way too big and looked frumpy on me… I kinda felt like I was wearing a trash bag. Haha! I think it would have been better had it been smaller, the sizing on this one runs huge.
So what do you think? Do you like what I got? Should I have kept anything? Have you tried Stitch Fix before? Share your most recent Stitch fix review in the comments!!
SUCH a fun fix! I’ve recently gotten the same Kut from the Kloth mixed media top and I received the same skirt ages ago. I returned both too 🙂
That red dressed look amazing on you! I understand how you felt BUT you looked great in it and your husband loved it on you! 🙂
Wow! If you ever need a dress for a special occasion that’s the style you should go with. Love it!
You have great willpower! It looks like you got a fantastic box. I love every piece and I think they look great in you, even the black dress.
That Jilian tie-front top was a total winner!! Wish you would’ve kept it! That would be great for date night. However, I totally respect your reasoning for sending the stuff back. I’m trying to live with this policy also.
Currently watching the FB live post! Great info to share.
Wooo! I love the red dress on you!
That floral top looks so cute on you but I get the reason you returned. I’m really working on minimizing my closet…too much stuff honestly makes me even crazier in the mornings when I’m trying to get dressed. That red dress though….ooh la la
Shelly|The Queen in Between
Don’t hate me for saying this but I love every single thing in this Fix! Totally agree that black dress is too big (maybe she needs to shift your sizes) but I loved everything.
I think you look amazing in everything! That red dress looks fabulous with your skin tone! But I love that you only keep what you love and wear. I am getting a new Fix next week and I will apply that wisdom to my decision making!
