I have shared before (many times, even) about my hair care woes. My hair tends to be my biggest source of frustration. Admittedly, I am very picky about what products I will use on my hair and on my body and finding hair and body care products that are non-toxic and all natural that WORK was tough. I also am more conscious of how much waste we produce just when we use every day products. Sure, we can recycle them, but how often does something accidentally get thrown in the trash? Or how often do we just forget all together to recycle? Enter Plaine Products.

I learned about this amazing company a couple of months ago and FELL. IN. LOVE. with them, their mission, and their whole business model. Plaine Products is a company started by two sisters and they make all natural, non-toxic, cruelty free, and ZERO WASTE shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (it’s actually made right in Virginia near where I used to go to college!!) What’s even MORE cool is their zero-waste model… they are providing an awesome alternative to single use plastics!

SO, how exactly does it work? You order your preferred products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.). When your bottles are low, you order a refill, OR you can subscribe and Plaine Products will send new bottles automatically. When the refills come, you simply switch the pumps over and send back the empty bottles in the refill box (Plaine Products covers the cost!). Then they clean the bottles, refill them, and reuse them.

So not only is Plaine Products focusing on reducing waste and providing a great product, they also make their products with amazing, all natural ingredients (and there’s no guessing as to what is in there!)… Ingredients like coconut oil, organic green tea, papaya extracts, sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin… and essence of rosemary, mint, and vanilla!! Y’all… these products smell AMAZING. So. Good. And they are totally non-gmo, cruelty free, paraben free, KID SAFE (yes, you can use these on your kiddos!), and again, totally zero-waste.

Now, I’m not gonna lie… when I first learned about the company I loved them so much, but I was hesitant if the products would WORK. So, I put them to the test. I started using Plaine Products at the end of August (so nearly two months ago) and I’ve been using them ever since and I am FLOORED. Their shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling so soft and silky and shiny (and strong!) They don’t weigh my hair down or leave it feeling greasy. I’ve had so many people compliment me lately and say my hair looks so long and shiny! (True story – I haven’t had a hair cut in over a year… but my hair feels great!) The body wash smells so good and leave my skin feeling really soft!
