Join Us for the 2017 31 Random Acts of Kindness Christmas Advent
If you can believe it, we are almost into the full swing of the Christmas season! And as you guys know, Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday and my favorite time of year. I love the nostalgia of it and I love doing Christmas things with my family. BUT, if you have read my blog for a while, you know that my favorite Christmas tradition with my family is our annual Random Acts of Kindness. (See 2016’s here and 2015’s here)
This Acts of Kindness tradition was started when Lilly was really little and she could barely understand what we were doing, but this will be our third year sharing it with our community and we are so excited. For me, Christmas is so beautiful because it’s about the birth of Jesus and what He came to do for us. And, in turn, I really feel like Christmas should be about giving, serving, and loving each other. Yes, we should be kind to one another all year long, but there’s just something about spreading kindness to each other during the month of December that is so special.
For us, this tradition of actively going out into our community and loving on and extending a hand to our neighbors, friends, and family means so much. We look forward to it more than anything else… Truly! Lilly has already started asking about our Acts of Kindness Christmas tradition and asking what we are going to do THIS year.
So, we are ahead of the game because we want YOU to join us again this year for our Random Acts of Kindness Christmas advent.
But we are even taking it a step FURTHER this year and we’re doing 31 days instead of just 24 or 25. We want this to really push us to get outside of our comfort zones, spend time together as a family, serve our community, and make memories.
If you want to join us in our random Acts of Kindness, DO IT. We are so excited about this and would love to have you be a part this year. Simply print off the calendar provided below, tape it on your fridge, and start this tradition with YOUR family. Goodness knows that the world could really use more kindness in it… imagine what could happen if we ALL participated and the ripple effects that would happen?

Another thing, honestly, that I am looking forward to doing as a family is going to go see the new movie THE STAR, which comes out on November 17th! The MOMENT I saw the trailer for this movie, I was *so* excited. I can’t WAIT to take Lilly because I know, just from watching the trailer, that she is going to love it. And honestly, with a voice cast of Steven Yeun, Kelly Clarkson, Tyler Perry, Oprah, Keegan-Michael Key, Aidy Bryant, Tracy Morgan, and MORE, I know it’s going to be awesome.
What’s the movie about? Well, in THE STAR, a small but brave donkey named Bo is yearning for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.
Doesn’t it sound AMAZING????? The soundtrack also has artists like Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Casting Crowns, and Mariah Carey!
I am so excited for the Christmas season and to just really get back to spending time with my family, doing our random acts of kindness, getting to see a great family movie about the Christmas story, and also focusing on the birth of Jesus!
What about you?

I am so glad you are continuing this tradition. Wow how much Lily has grown looking back at the pictures. I can’t wait to see the movie as well. It is on my must see list for sure. Thank you for being the amazing person you are.
