Dressember: 31 Days of Dresses to Fight Human Trafficking | RECAP
It’s been a couple of weeks, but Dressember is over! Well, mostly over. My 31 days of wearing a dress came and went and I survived. You may remember reading about this challenge I joined this year when I shared about it back in October. In short, I pledged to wear a dress every day during the month of December to raise money and awareness for fighting human trafficking. I realize it might seem silly, but standing alongside literally THOUSANDS of advocates all over the world to fight human trafficking was awesome.
And as silly as it seems, wearing a dress every day was not actually that easy. I did well the first couple of weeks, but by the end of the month, I was losing stamina. It was getting to be more of a challenge. Especially around Christmas when all I wanted to do was lounge in leggings all day… but I forced myself to still put a dress on. I was committed!
Now, my fundraising goal was (and is) $6,300. That funds a rescue operation! I am halfway there, so I have not hit my goal… YET. There’s still time! Fundraising doesn’t actually end until the end of January!
I would be so forever grateful if you would consider donating $1, $10, or $50 towards my fundraising campaign! Fundraising ends January 31st!
I also wanted to just share my outfit / dress recap for the month…
Days 1-5
Days 6-10
Days 11-15
Days 16-20
Days 21-25
Days 26-31
You can see toward the end of the month, it got hard for me to get pictures! Hahaha, but I committed and made it work! It was a lot of fun and again, I loved standing alongside so many amazing women and men fighting for ending human trafficking.
I am so, so grateful to each and every one of you who have donated to my Dressember campaign, for your kind emails and messages, for your support, for your comments, for sharing! It means the world to me.
It’s not over. We can still do this!! Join to END IT!
