Piquant Post Review | A World of Flavor, Delivered!
I love to cook. I didn’t always love to cook, but when I lived by myself after I graduated college and when I moved to North Carolina, I was on a tight budget and quickly learned that if I was going to eat, I was going to need to learn to cook. I mean, I knew how to cook, but it was all pretty basic stuff. And pretty soon, I discovered that I LOVED to cook and I loved to try new foods, experiment with different recipes, and play around with spices. There’s not a meal that I make that doesn’t have some concoction of spices in it.
I have been on a kick in the last year or so trying out different recipes from different countries. I love making traditional foods from different parts of the world and introducing these flavors to my kids! While they don’t love them all (typical picky eater kids) they surprisingly like A LOT of them! However, sometimes I have a difficult time finding the unique spice blends that a lot of international recipes call for. Or, if I do find the blend, I end up buying the bottle and then it ends up being WAY MORE than I needed and the rest goes to waste.
I was recently introduced to Piquant Post – freshly ground, small batch spice blends with delicious recipes sent in a monthly subscription box. Each month, you get four different spice blends with corresponding recipe cards! They work with chefs to develop recipes using mouthwatering flavors from around the world to give you variety in your cooking and meal planning without extra effort. Plus, the Piquant Post spices are made without all the bad stuff and almost never include salt, so they’re great if you’re focusing on healthy recipes!
When you subscribe to Piquant Post, here’s what you receive each month:
- Four new spice blends from a single region or country
- Four chef-developed recipes showcasing each of the monthly spice blends
- Online access to recipes, ingredient substitutes, and alternative uses
I just received the Piquant Post March box and the spices were AMAZING this month. A spicy mint blend, Zaatar, Provence Rose (so excited to try this one!), and 7 Spice Baharat. They all smell amazing and the recipes look easy to follow and so good.
