The New Thea Flat from The Root Collective is HERE

My favorite ethical shoe brand, The Root Collective, just launched the amazing new Thea flat, a classic pointed flat. This flat is going to be your new favorite classic!

The Root Collective has been a long-time love of mine and you may or may not know that I’ve been their official photographer for the past year or so. Bethany, their founder, is one of my nearest and dearest friends. I love getting the opportunity to be creative and photograph some beautiful shoes with an even more beautiful mission of providing jobs in Guatemala.

This past week I got to photograph the shoot for the new Thea flat that launched TODAY and it. is. beautiful. This is a more sophisticated twist on their classic ballet flat… the pointed toe just creates such a chic look! It comes in four colors, noir, chestnut, mustard, and smoke. I also photographed the new Blythe boot (a collaboration with Dressember) and some of their classic, best-selling Gaby ballet flat shoes.

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite images from the shoot! While photography isn’t something I “advertise” that I do, it’s been a side-hustle, creative passion of mine for nearly a decade. And when I get to combine THAT passion alongside my passion for ethical fashion, well, you know that I love it.

My amazing friend, Anna Ptak (you may remember her from this episode of the Business with Purpose podcast), was the model and she SLAYED.

Other info you may want to know… Clothes were from Copper Penny Raleigh and The Flourish Market, makeup was by Ashley Watts, location was at The Greenhouse Picker Sisters. Oh, and shoes are OBVIOUSLY by The Root Collective.
