The App I Use Literally Every Day – Cladwell Closet App Review

Almost two years ago I shared with you my review about a new closet app called Cladwell… and I have used that app nearly every single day since then! They have changed a lot of features in the past two years, but it has only gotten better and better. They’ve improved it so much… and I wanted to share an update with you for a few reasons:

• The Cladwell closet app is FREE now. Totally free! It used to be a subscription-based, but now it’s free… FOR LIFE! 🙂
• The app now has a social component and you can “friend” people on the app!

So let me run down a little bit about the new features of the Cladwell closet app and WHY I love this app so much… I literally use it every single day.

A quick review of how the Cladwell closet app works: 

Once you download the app and set up your Style Profile, you then add into your “Closet” everything that you already own. It has a lot of items already in the app you can use in your closet, but it also allows you to upload a stock photo or a photo you took on your phone of a particular item. You simply add tags / description for the custom item and then that item is added to your closet.

Then, each day, Cladwell creates outfits based upon what you ALREADY have in your closet. I love it because it helps you to “shop” your closet and makes you aware of what you are wearing and what you aren’t. It puts together outfits you might not have thought about previously!

YOUR STYLE PROFILE:

First you can look at your private style profile which goes into detail on what percentage of your closet you are wearing. It also tells you how many days in a row you have logged your outfits, plus how many possible outfits are in your closet!

Now with the new “explore” / social function in the app, the profile other people see shows your activity! Your friends can also look in your “closet” and see what items you have in your closet.

The app also shares what colors you own and what you wear most… I love that Cladwell has helped me to really hone in on my personal style.

 

The app will tell you what items you are wearing most and what items you wear least. Clearly I love my Root Collective boots and ABLE denim jacket. haha!! I wear them all the time!

In the “Explore” feature, you can upload a photo of your outfit of the day to show what the outfit suggested in the app actually looks like on. Other users who “follow” you can “snap” your outfit or leave comments.

Another amazing feature I love is that if I am following a friend and I see an outfit I like on her, I will tap on the outfit and it will suggest SIMILAR outfits to me using items I have in my closet.

I really do love this app so much and it is one that I use every single day. It’s helped me to pair down my closet to items I really LOVE, it’s helped me clean out my closet more often, and it’s helped me hone in on my personal style so that I know what items to shop for / look for when I do need to go shopping or fill a “hole” in my closet.
