STYLE: 10 Ways to Wear an Infinity Scarf [UPDATED 2019]

One of the most popular blog posts I’ve ever written was back in 2013 and it was 10 Ways to Wear an Infinity Scarf. Honestly, I look back at that post and I cringe. I was like a month post-partum with my first child, I’d be home nursing a newborn for days on end, and I just wanted to do something that felt fresh and creative. But I WAS SO TIRED. So, while the content is obviously relevant and works… I didn’t love the pictures! BUT THAT IS OKAY! Even though we are headed out of the colder season (it’s currently flurrying here in North Carolina as I write this). In case you didn’t know, infinity scarves are here to stay. Infinity scarves are a staple winter accessory in my closet… AND, if you choose a lightweight infinity scarf, you can easily wear them in warmer months, too.

Since I wrote that first 10 Ways to Wear an Infinity Scarf post back in 2013, I thought it would be helpful to give you an updated version with my favorite 10 ways to wear an infinity scarf. Some ways are old. Some ways are new. But it’s all fresh!

Here is where you can shop some of my favorite infinity scarves:

1. The Big Loop

Wear the scarf as is!

2. The Double Loop

Just wrap the scarf around your neck twice and pull one side down.

3. The Wide Wrap

Wrap the scarf around you neck twice and flare the scarf out over your shoulders.

4. The Snood

This one you wrap twice around your neck and fluff the scarf up as much as you can.

5. The Head Scarf

This is for those frigid winter days! Definitely perfect to wear under a heavy coat.

6. The Side Bow

Tie the scarf in a “bow” and push to the side. You could also do it in the center!

7. The Pull Through

Fold the scarf in half, wrap around the back of your neck, and pull one end through the other!

8. The Reverse Loop

Wear the looped scarf “backwards” over your back. This could look really pretty with a printed scarf or a silk scarf over a high neck dress!

9. The Shoulder Toss

Cross over the scarf in the middle and throw over one shoulder

10. The Center Knot

This one is really easy, just knot the scarf in the center and hang down!
