I am so excited to finally share with you a really exciting design collaboration I did with a fair trade brand that I LOVE. I have shared Malia Designs with you before (they’ve been featured on the blog many times over the last few years and I had their awesome founder as a guest on my podcast.) So when Lucia and Lia reached out to me last spring to see if I was interested in designing the best fair trade bag for their fall line my answer was immediately, “YOU KNOW IT!!!!”

The process was so fun. I sent them design ideas, told them what features I wanted, and then picked colors. The sample came in and it was a HOME RUN.

My biggest features that I wanted included in this incredible fair trade bag were: the ability to wear it crossbody (and have the strap be adjustable AND removable, the ability to wear it as a shoulder bag, LOTS OF POCKETS (because #momlife), and I wanted to be able to fit my 15″ Macbook Pro inside the bag ALONG WITH everything else I carry.

Well, the bag is HERE and it is everything I wanted and it is selling out QUICKLY and I am in LOVE with it!

The bag is fair trade and handmade by incredibly talented artisans in Cambodia! The fabric is upcycled denim / chambray fabrics and the stripe accent is so perfect. It’s a great neutral bag that can easily be used every day from work to running errands and could even work as a diaper bag!

There are SO MANY POCKETS inside this amazing bag. DEEP pockets on the outside. 3 pockets on the inside. You can put so many things in this bag!

The other thing I really love about it is the color and style really makes it a bag you can use all year long. It’s one that really will work in the fall or spring.
