The Elegantees “Molly” Dress is Here!
I have long been a fan of Elegantees, an incredible ethical fashion brand for women, men, and girls that hires incredible overcomers of human trafficking in Nepal. Elegantees is definitely no stranger to the blog as I’ve featured them dozens and dozens (if not hundreds!) of times over the years. I’ve had the founder, Katie Martinez, on my podcast, and back in 2017, my friend Carly and I had the honor of designing the “Let it Shine” collection where we collaborated with Elegantees on over 10 pieces of gorgeous, ethically made clothing. (THAT was a dream come true!)
Well, when Katie approached me earlier this summer and asked if I would be interested in stretching my design skills once again for an exclusive Elegantees dress this fall, I obviously JUMPED at the chance! I mean, to have the chance to design my DREAM dress and have Elegantees create it was another literal dream come true. I immediately knew what I wanted, but I had no idea if they’d be able to pull it off. I mean, I had a whole lot of confidence, but I knew that the design I had in my head was nothing like Elegantees had ever done before.
I told them I wanted a beautiful, versatile dress that could be worn AT LEAST three ways (if not more!).
I am in a stage of life where I want simplicity and versatility. I want to be able to style something in my closet lots of ways so that I can get the most wear out of it.
I want to be able to pack fewer items on trips and still be able to put together multiple outfits that all look and feel different.
So, I told Katie and Sarah (on the Elegantees team), that I wanted the dress to be able to be worn backwards, forwards, and to be able to unbutton it and wear it like a duster cardigan. Over the next few months, we went back and forth on details, cut, measurements, colors, etc. I got the first sample in the mail and it was an awesome start, but it needed some tweaks. So, we chatted and figured out what we needed to change and sent the edits to the artisans in Nepal.
Well, the final came in a couple weeks ago… and they NAILED it. The dress was everything I’d hope it would be! AND IT IS HERE!
The Elegantees “Molly” dress is here and I LOVE IT and I know you will too!
Right now, this dress is LIMITED EDITION… so who knows if it will come back in stock!
BONUS? I have a 15% off coupon code for you… PLUS FREE SHIPPING! You can use code “stillbeingmolly” for 15% off your purchase of the Molly dress (any ANYTHING on the Elegantees website).
For sizing reference, I am wearing a size LARGE in the Molly dress and the fit is perfect. I’m typically a size 14 / XL in women’s clothing, so I would say that the Molly dress runs generous in sizing. 🙂
Here are the different ways to style the Elegantees “Molly” dress:
-
With the buttons in the front worn like a straight-midi shift dress.
2. With the buttons in the front, tied with the sash at your natural waist
3. Throw on a denim jacket for a more dressed down / casual look
4. Turn the dress AROUND and wear the dress with the buttons in the back! (Sans sash!)
I love styling the dress this way because it looks so elegant in the front and so beautiful in the back! This way also makes it looks gorgeous by pairing it with a statement necklace.
5. With the buttons in the back and the sash tied around your natural waist
6. UNBUTTON IT and wear the dress like a duster cardigan!
So, tell me what you think! Do you love the dress as much as I do? You can get the dress HERE and don’t forget to use that 15% off coupon code “stillbeingmolly”!
