Join Me in Reading Through the Bible in 2021!
Have you ever had a goal, a dream, a wish, or a desire to read through the Bible? As in, reading through the Bible cover-t0-cover? In 2020, I just completed my third trip through the bible. I started this in 2018, and have done it every year since and it has been life changing for me! I don’t say that to sound cliche, I say it because it’s the truth. Reading through the Bible has given me a hunger and thirst for the Lord… to know Him, to know His character, to know who He is more and more. It’s also taught me that I will never, fully understand or comprehend the Lord and His ways this side of heaven and honestly? I’m so thankful for that. Because I can just rest in trusting Him in every way imaginable. He is so good and He is so faithful.
I have a fire lit within me to share what God has done in my life with others. I want others to know how good He is and to get to know Him the way I do… to pursue a personal and intimate relationship with their creator. And the BEST way to do that is to read His love letter to you – The Bible. No, it’s not boring. Yes, there are parts that are more difficult to get through. No, it’s not an outdated text. Yes, it is living and active and breathing. Yes, you can do it.
Trust me. If God can have the impact on my life that He’s had in the past 10 years, He can have an impact on your life, too. I know it. I believe it. And if I can read through the bible in a year not once but three years in a row… TRUST ME, you can do it to!
So, will you join me?
Here is how to read the Bible along with me in 2021!
- First, download the YouVersion bible app on your phone or tablet! And click this link to join our plan
- Then, subscribe to “the Bible recap” podcast on Apple Podcasts / spotify podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts!
- Each day you’ll do the reading in the plan in YouVersion (each new book of the bible also has a corresponding video introduction which is so helpful!). At the end of the reading there’s a place for discussion!
- Then you’ll listen to that day’s corresponding podcast!
Pro tips: I listen to the bible while I read it (I listen on 2x speed, but sometimes people prefer 1.5x speed). I like listening while I read because I feel like I process better. Usually takes me a total of 10-15 minutes to read and listen. Then I listen to the podcast!
And let me know if you have any questions at all!!
