PHOTOGRAPHY | Kate, Amelia, Alice, & Amy – UNC Chapel Hill Senior Portraits
This is quite possibly my FAVORITE time of year. The weather here is just gorgeous (although it is getting pretty hot pretty quickly…), the flowers are in full bloom, people are outside enjoying life, AND it’s senior portrait time!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know that I kinda wear a lot of hats. In addition to being a mom and wife, I have my day job, I have this blog, and I do portrait photography on the side as well! Photography has always been a huge passion of mine and while I have no desire to ever shoot a wedding, I have always loved shooting families and seniors and events and lifestyle stuff and fashion and… well, any kind of portraits!
I have been an advisor for the Phi Mu chapter at UNC Chapel Hill for almost FIVE years and so I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many amazing young women. I’ve watched them grow from nervous freshman not knowing their way around campus to blossoming seniors who I’m so sad to see graduate. I mean, I’m SO happy for them for graduating… but I’ll miss seeing them around!
Anyway, I’m rambling. Kate is a Phi Mu that I have absolutely adored. She was in charge of recruitment her junior year and I am membership advisor and so we worked really closely together and I got to know her really well. She has a huge heart, loves the Lord, has a crazy amazing fashion sense, and just is really fun to be around.
Kate asked if I would take her senior portraits along with three of her good friends, Alice, Amy, and Amelia (who are not Phi Mus). Of course I was pumped!
So, we spent time time together walking about Chapel Hill’s gorgeous campus laughing, taking photos, and I was getting to hear about their post-grad plans.
Since I love sharing these portrait sessions, I thought I’d share some of my favorites! Feel free to click here to check out the full gallery!
Gotta get some pictures by the Old Well. It’s pretty much a Chapel Hill MUST.
This is Roscoe, Amelia’s dog… isn’t he so handsome?! He had a Carolina bow tie on and everything!!
Kate is the one on the far left… 🙂 Don’t they all look gorgeous?? LOVE their dresses!
ROSCOE!!
I, amazingly, got the “cap throwing” picture on the first try!! Hahaha! It usually takes me at least 10 tries to get a good one.

I told them to do their “sassy” pose. Hahah!
