I’m “that” friend. I’m the goofy friend. I’m the silly friend. I’m the always-good-for-a-laugh friend. Always have been. Always will be. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to laugh, I love to make others laugh (I mean, I used to be a comedian), and I love to lift the spirits of others. Yes, I can definitely be serious. Yes, I can definitely get angry and upset. But, I just choose to see the joy in things. I choose to laugh. I choose to be positive.
Being positive is a choice. Being negative is a choice. And while some people may disagree… I may just have to agree to disagree on that…
If I’m feeling down or upset or tired or weary or whathaveyou, I just think about all the things I’m grateful for. I watch silly videos on YouTube. I read a funny book or watch a funny movie. It’s all about perspective.
It’s all about finding that thing that just lifts you up and puts a pep in your step. ‘Naw mean?
So we were taking pictures out in front of my friend’s house… and her husband pulled up in the General Lee. I HAD to get some pictures with it. Because, I mean, it’s the General Lee. Duh. You may recognize this car from some of our wedding photos!
I was having WAY too much fun with it.

Oh my goodness…you are too cute! I grew up watching Dukes of Hazard…so much fun!
I love this post Molly. It makes me always go back to a song I used to sing back in the nineties “Jesus put a song in my heart”. It was so peppy & uplifting. And that is where my joy comes from. I know that I am such an absolute goof most of the time but I just can’t help it. Loud laughs with occasional snorts, silly faces, a constant crooked grin on my face. Choosing to be positive is something I realized many years ago when I kept putting stipulations on I could be happy: when I loose weight, when I make this much money, when my house looks just right. Well, that’s a lot of wasted time not being able to be happy, so presto chango!
