Augusta Sportswear Review & Giveaway (for men AND women!)
You guys know I’ve been on this quest to get healthier. I know, I know, EVERYONE says that… but I’m being serious. In the last year I’ve taken MASSIVE strides to get healthier overall. I’ve started using essential oils, I’ve been eating cleaner and better, I’m getting out and walking more, and I’m getting more sleep and tracking my steps… I’m literally trying everything I can to improve my overall health and wellness in every aspect.
But, I will be the first to admit, that exercise has been my biggest struggle. I used to be a runner and then I hurt my knee and never got back into it. Then I was AWESOME (I say that as humbly as possible) and worked out basically my entire pregnancy… all the way up until Lilly was born. And then I had a c-section and my recovery was so tough. And I fell out of the habit.
So, anyway… I’m digressing. All that to say… I KNOW I have to get more consistent with REAL exercise. While my daily walk with the dogs and Lilly is great, it’s not enough to make a real difference in my overall shape.
And I realize this is going to sound totally lame a trivial, but it’s the God’s honest truth… one of the things that I hate about working out is none of my cute workout clothes fit me anymore and so I feel like a huge slob when I go to the gym. I will be the first to admit that this is totally vain and totally absurd, but it’s true.
I remember when I played golf growing up and my dad would always say, “It’s important to dress a good game.” And he was so right. If I was dressed well for a golf match, I always played better. It’s a whole mindset thing.
I mean, don’t YOU feel more motivated to go to the gym when you have cute workout clothes? No? Just me?
Well, I got the chance to try out the women’s active kit from Augusta Sportswear and I was really excited to try it out and take it for a real, actual (grueling) test run.
Last week we had our January #triFABB meet up at Flywheel Sports and I was pumped because it was the first real opportunity I had to REALLY take my Augusta Activewear for a spin. Literally. See what I did there?
I got the kit with a razorback tank, capris, and bag. If I’m being completely transparent with you, I didn’t get the BEST picture of me in the full outfit (like a formal outfit picture)… and the reason why is because I am still very insecure about my body. I’m putting it out there. I just don’t like the way I look right now and I’m dealing with that. BUT, that is NO FAULT of the workout wear at all. In fact, I loved it. A lot!
That’s me in the front left (I know, the one with the most awkward face) before our workout…
I didn’t get a picture of me with the outfit and the workout bag together… but this is the bag I received. IT’S HUGE. Like, massive. So much room for activities stuff. You can fit ALL of the things in there. Extra clothes, water bottle, etc.
Then, we went into Flywheel for our spin class. HOLY MOLY IT WAS INSANE and SO HARD. My gosh. They kick your butt in there! If you look closely there in the back left (in the mirror) you can see me struggle bussing it along… But my workout gear was holding strong!
And then afterwards. Totally sweaty. Red. But feeling awesome!
I did end up putting a sweatshirt on afterwards during the meet up portion of the night (this is me talking to all the attendees), but you can see those capris are lookin’ fly.
I will honestly say that I loved the workout wear. The Augusta capris are my favorite (SO stretchy and comfortable), the bag is my second favorite, and the tank is my third favorite… mainly because I’m just so uncomfortable in a tank like that. That’s just me, personally… I’m a baggy t-shirt kind of girl when it comes to working out. ‘Naw mean?
BONUS: the AWESOME people over at Augusta Sportswear are giving away a Women’s Active Kit to one lucky female winner and a Men’s Active Kit to one lucky male winner. So yay! Something for everyone! Here’s a sample of what you’d receive:

Trying to go to the gym and walking more.
I started doing yoga again and have been having tons of dance parties to get me going in the mornings 🙂 And when the snow melts, I’ll be back on my bike!!
I’m getting back into a three times a week yoga routine, planning a Fitbit charge purchase, and looking to find a way to up my cardio.
I bought a fitbit to help me realize how much I don’t move and to encourage more walking! I can’t believe I even thought I came close to 10,000 steps daily!
I’m training for a half marathon!! Would LOVE some new workout gear 😉
I’m planning on walking when it warms up and doing yoga videos at home
i already signed up for my first half maratron!
I track my steps on my phone and work out 3-4 times a day along with being active daily with my job!
I just got a fitbit, so I’m going to work on tracking my steps each day!
I am determined to do a 5k this fall which to all runners seems like a joke but for me it is a big deal!
Great post 🙂 I love your blog and I have followed you with Bloglovin. If you ever get a chance to check out my blog I would be delighted, thanks!

This is an AWESOME giveaway! Just like you Molly I’m doing things little by little to improve my overall health and get back into shape in 2015.
Great giveaway! I am definitely in need of getting healthy. I had my son almost 16 months ago and have yet to lose all my weight. On top of that before I was pregnant I wanted to lose weight too so I have a long way to go. I am trying to schedule my workouts at the beginning of each week so I make sure and go at least 3 times a week. I am also working on eating clean… any easy recipes will help!

walking and lifting at the gym!
Great for you! I have finally figured out that its much better to feel good and live a healthy lifestyle more than a number on the scale. I too love to workout in baggy clothes but since I have lost 20 pounds it would be nice to look cute every now and then. Thank you for the preview and the give away!
Those work out clothes look awesome! And I’m totally bummed that I keep forgetting about all these fun meet ups! Next time, I’m there for sure!
run with the high school cross country team that I coach 🙂
I have started running with my husband and son in 2015.
I’ve been getting active by trying to run/bike ten times a month (a reasonable goal) and doing something physical (walk, weights, etc) every day.
Eat right, exercise and sleep well.
You are not alone…I, too, have to have cute workout clothes. I feel your struggle about working out. I love doing it, but once I break that pattern…*ugh* it is so hard to get back into the groove. I’ve been struggling with that the last couple of weeks. I am bound and determine to make 2015 healthier though. I’ve gotten into juicing, eating cleaner (for the most part), and will get back into the working out. Great post!
Oh my gosh I could use this stuff!! I’m reeeally trying to walk more, and (obviously) use my essential oils every day!
Awww Great job Molly! You look great! ♥
Training for a half marathon!
I have purchased a Jawbone and will actively be trying to meet/exceed my step count goal daily. Also, one of my goals this year is to complete a 5k!
I’m getting the WHOLE FAMILY active in 2015! We joined the Y, signed the kidlet up for swim lessons, and I’m already oriented to the fitness center. Ready to pump it up!
I will get active in 2015 by adding some new workout routines. I will be starting Les Mills Pump and Insanity Max 30 after my church fast is over, and I’ll continue to include PiYo in the mix!
My goal for 2015 is to make fitness more of a lifestyle than task or something off a checklist. It’s hard work and I’m hoping this is the year, I’ll get into the mindset!
I love using PiYo and T25!
I have been following a workout program online every week and eating better.
One of my goals for the year is to get back into shape as well. I loved running but I kept getting injured. I’ve been doing spin, Zumba, and Pilaties and its starting to work!! You should give them a try. 🙂 I would love to win that work out gear as well!! Its hard to find cute workout clothes that hold in my big booty! 😉
So far in 2015, I’ve done a good job of getting back into a regular fitness routine – 3 days of strength training and 2 or 3 days of cardio a week! I just want to keep it going!
I will start by walking and then running. I have to do this!
I’m going to start running again. I took the last year off to get adjusted to my new married life with 3 stepdaughters, but it is time to start focusing on me again!
My goals in 2015 is to finally lose that extra 20 pounds that crept up on me! I’ve been killing it on the elliptical since January 1st and I can’t wait until the weather warms up so I can start running again. Cute clothes would totally help!
I’m active by doing zumba twice a week and a core class once a week – I’m obsessed with classes! On a side note…any blog post with a Step Brothers reference is a good blog post.
A friend of mine just started teaching Yoga, I’m wanting to join… but first I’ll need some new clothes 🙂
I am getting back to Jazzercise and you are right. Without the right clothes I feel like I am not all there. Good for you for getting back to it! I think you look awesome!
I’m training for a 5k & I’m doing home workout videos!
i will train for a 1/2 marathon and look forward to the next decade of my life!!
Okay, I’m winning this. Period! 🙂
I love the capris!
I am planning to work out with a friend to make it more enjoyable.
I am trying to be better about my health as well. I Crossfit 4-5x a week so working out is something I love. I am trying to go bed earlier and eat cleaner and watch my portions.
