Come See Me at the Southern Women’s Show
I have some really, crazy, exciting news to share with you guys. It’s not like I’ve really kept this secret, but I haven’t really PUBLICLY shared it with y’all and I wanted you guys to know! Especially those of you who live in or around the Raleigh, North Carolina area (aka: the Triangle region of N.C.).
Next week (April 24th-26th), I am going to be a SPECIAL GUEST at the Southern Women’s Show at the N.C. State Fairgrounds. WHAT?! Crazy. I know! I still sort of am in disbelief. I mean, my name is on the same page as RANDY FENOLI from Say Yes to the Dress and Peter Facinelli (!!) from Twilight, Nurse Jackie, and American Odyssey! I mean, sure, I’m DEFINITELY not even close to being a celeb like those guys, but I’m seriously so humbled to even be included in something with them!
Now, if you’re not from the south, you probably are wondering what the Southern Women’s Show is. If you’re from the south, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
The Southern Women’s Show is basically a HUGE three day showcase featuring ALL KINDS of special guests, music, food, vendors, shopping, beauty, health stuff, etc. On average, 24,000-30,000 women attend it every year! It’s HUGE. And this year is the 30th anniversary of the Southern Women’s Show… so you KNOW this year is going to be insane and a show of epic proportions. Haha!
So, what am I going to be doing exactly?
Well, I am hosting and emceeing a FASHION SHOW on the main fashion stage all three days of the Southern Women’s Show. But, this is not like any other fashion show that you’ve ever been to. This fashion show is featuring REAL women (not that models aren’t real women… but I hope you hear what I’m saying…). The models range in size from 0-18 and ages 28-67.
I’m going to be showing women how to dress for YOUR age and body type for certain occasions AND talking about what pieces to look for when you are shopping that can help to flatter your figure while still being trendy and age-appropriate. It’s going to be very interactive and something that, hopefully, everyone can walk away from feeling like they learned something that they can apply in their own lives and in their own closets.
We’ve got clothing from LulaRoe and Peachy Keen Boutique being featured along with shoes from The Root Collective, accessories from Noonday Collection and Linda Mendible Designs… plus hair by Blown Away dry bar and photography by my girl Em Grey.
I have been working like crazy behind the scenes for the last three months planning this fashion show and I’m feeling a lot of the feelings right about now… nervous / excited / anxious / pumped… you name it.
So, when is it?
- Dates & Times:
- Friday, April 24th – Noon
- Saturday, April 25th – 11am
- Sunday, April 26th – Noon

Renee
Me and my daughters are super excited to see Randy! Also a tip about the tickets, you can leave them at the will call window at the show for the winners so you don’t have to deal with mailing them and risk them getting lost. Looking forward to seeing you at the show as well!
I hope to bring my daughter on Sunday for Mother daughter day and we are excited to see the fashion show and the Frozen characters!
I am most excited to see YOUR show!!! I know, I know, you think I am just saying that because I am on your blog. But honestly, I am 35 years old, a working mom, and I am SO TIRED of wearing the same jeans/shirt combo I have been wearing pretty much every day for my whole adult life! I haven’t the slightest idea about fashion (except how to dress “old”) and I am so ready to dress YOUNG and in something that will show my personality! I am ready to shine!!! SO I look forward to your show to get some much needed help!!
PS – LOVE LOVE LOVE the verse you have at the bottom of the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on such an amazing opportunity! I wish there were things like this in Atlanta/Athens area.
