I’ve gone through phases over the years… phases where I’m attending a bajillion weddings or baby showers… You know, those phases.
We are gearing up for another big “wedding season” this summer with a few weddings on the books, and because I’m a planner, I’m already thinking about what I’m going to wear. Yep. Sure am. I know I’m not the only one!
I’ve got a fancier wedding coming up in a month, and while it’s not “black tie,” per se, it is definitely on the more formal side. This is actually an outfit I wore for my anniversary back in February, but I wore a blazer overtop since it was cold… and I realized it would actually be perfect for this fancier summer wedding.
I absolutely LOVE this dress that I got in a Stitch Fix fix a couple months ago, and to really dress it up, I wore it with a really fun and bold statement necklace, and classic Hanes opaque black tights and heels. You pretty much can’t go wrong with black tights and black heels. They elongate the legs, they’re slimming, and they totally make any dress look that much more dressy.
If that makes sense.

I love this! The neckline is beautiful! I love using Rent the Runway for wedding season — might have to use it at least once with 6 weddings this year!! I also like to hit up Nordstrom Rack or Last Call by Neiman Marcus for those pricier dresses (fancy maxis) at a discount.
