The “Surprise Me” Fix Where I Nearly Kept it All | Stitch Fix Review
I am calling this month’s Stitch Fix review the “Surprise Me!” fix because, admittedly, I actually forgot to leave a note for my stylist, Kimberly J., this month. But apparently I need to forget to leave a note more often because HOLY SCHMOLY, Kimberly J. knocked this fix out of the PARK!
I mean, for real… after over two years of being my stylist, she just KNOWS my style and really nails it. She knows my love for feminine cuts, comfortable and versatile pieces, and ANYTHING ethically made or Made in the USA! Well, this fix pretty much fit those things to a T. I nearly kept everything in the box!
Check out my Stitch Fix review below to see what I got, what I thought and what I kept!
The “Surprise Me” Fix Where I Nearly Kept it All | Stitch Fix Review
Loveappella “Zola Knit Dress” – Size XL – $58
*Made in the USA!
STATUS: Kept!
Oh my glory hallelujah this dress is AMAZING. It is PHENOMENAL. The material is incredibly soft and also very stretchy and very forgiving. The deep blue / almost navy stripe is the perfect year-round neutral and this dress could easily transition from summer to fall to winter to spring. Just dress it up or dress it down with boots, heels, or sandals. Throw a blazer or jacket over it in colder months… Accessorize it!
I also LOVE the Loveappella brand and love that they make their pieces right here in the USA!
Needless to say, this dress was a HIT and a definite keeper.
Skies are Blue “Keating Cargo Vest” – Size XL – $78
STATUS: Returned
I honestly went back and forth on this vest about 20 times. I was very, very conflicted. I actually own the jacket version of this vest (I got it in a fix over a year ago and wear it a lot!) While I really do love the cargo vest style and know how versatile a piece like this could be, I just wasn’t SOLD on it… here’s why…
PROS: The vest is well made, comfortable, versatile, and a GREAT piece for fall and spring.
CONS: Because I’m totally “that guy,” I emailed the Skies are Blue team to find out about where their stuff is made… and I didn’t hear back. Not saying anything bad, but I just would love to know more about their manufacturing and their facilities. I just want to do my due diligence. Also, since I own the jacket version, I wasn’t sure how much I’d wear the vest versus the jacket, if that makes sense.
Anyway, you guys know how I like to be smart and intentional with my purchases and I couldn’t justify buying this one when I wasn’t 100% on it.
I really do think it is an AWESOME vest… but it wasn’t right right now.
Shoes are from The Root Collective
good hYOUman “Teighlor Slim Fit Drawstring Jogger Pant” – Size XL – $78
*Made in the USA!
Status: Kept!
Plain black tee I am wearing is from PACT apparel.
ZOMG. THESE JOGGERS ARE LIFE!
I loved my black joggers from my last fix and told my stylist that in my feedback and she sent me these this month because she thought I’d love them. Well, she sure as sugar was right… I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE.
First, the good hYOUman brand is AMAZING and I am going to have to share more about them in a #FashionForGood Friday post soon! I was so pumped to learn about them through receiving these pants in this fix. They design and produce and manufacture everything in Los Angeles.
Second, they are incredibly stretchy and soft. SO comfortable!!!!!
These joggers are also the perfect “athliesure” pant and great for dressing up or dressing down. I can’t WAIT for it to cool down some more and I can wear them all the time.
So yeah, I kept them. 🙂
Pixley “Rubio Babydoll Blouse” – Size XL – $37
*Made in the USA!
Status: Kept!
This is another top that when I pulled it out of the box, I audibly gasped at it’s gorgeousness. The color is basically the PERFECT Carolina blue color and so it will be PERFECT for game days! (GO HEELS!) It is also dressy enough that I can easily dress it up for a date night or a girl’s night out (you know, when those ACTUALLY occur… haha!)
It’s almost a chiffon-type material, so it feels very fancy, but the peplum-esque style allows it to be somewhat casual as well.
I was also SO BEYOND PUMPED to see the tag said Made in the USA!!!!!!
Once I tried it on, I knew it was a keeper. It’s BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT. I want to wear it all the days.
Eden Society “Harrison Embroidered Top” – Size XL – $58
Status: Returned
Pencil skirt is Renee C from my previous Fix
Oh I so much wanted to love this shirt… because honestly this shirt is SO my style! I love delicate white tops, I love embroidery and beautiful detail… but something felt off about this top. It was just a little “short” for me and I felt like it hit me at a weird spot on my body. I also couldn’t find any information online about the Eden Society brand and how / where they manufacture… so I wasn’t able to really learn anything about that. (Again, not saying anything BAD… just more “unsure,” if that makes sense.)
Anyway, so this shirt was a return.
Now tell me… what do you think? Do you think I kept / returned the right items? Which one(s) were your favorite(s)? Have you tried Stitch Fix before?

I love your skirt from the last photo. Where is it from?
Hey Lindsay! It’s from my previous fix which is linked above the photo 🙂
The dress is cute and you were right to return the vest. Not a fan. The powder blue top and white frilly top are adorable, but then I love more feminine pieces that are simple yet elegant with just a hint of flare. I also loved the skirt from your previous fix. That’s one of the reasons I signed up recently with Stitch Fix – pretty pieces I just can’t seem to find on my own. My first one arrives this month and I can hardly wait!
The dress is definitely a keeper! I want it! I also like the vest, not sure about anything else.
That blue and white dress is gorgeous!!
