Bixbee – Backpacks that Give | #FashionForGood Friday

Since school is back in session, I thought you guys would absolutely LOVE the company I’m going to introduce you to today… Bixbee! I realize that technically Bixbee isn’t a “fashion” company… but they are a “for good” company… so it still fits! Haha!

I will be honest… it is REALLY tough to find companies that carry ethically made backpacks, ethically made lunchboxes, and ethically made duffelbags! When I discovered Bixbee, I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was about them!

Bixbee is a Certified B Corporation (which, in short, means they are doing awesome things for people and the planet!), and their mission is simple: One Here. One There. For every backpack purchased, they donate a backpack full of supplies to a child in need ALL AROUND THE WORLD! Last year they donated over 5,000 backpacks to kids in need! I LOVEEEEE IT!

I actually met the folks at Bixbee when I was up in New York City in July for Blogger Bash 2016, and I loved talking with them and learning more about the company, their mission, and their goals for donating even MORE backpacks to kids in need this year.

They actually donated 12 backpacks to Transforming Hope this month when we did a backpack drive for kids in need in Durham! How awesome is that?!?!?!!?!

Now, on top of just being an amazing company with an amazing mission, their backpacks ARE. ADORABLE! Also, they are shaped differently because they are actually more ergonomically correct for displacing weight on kid’s backs!

But seriously… they have the cutest backpacks EVER! Airplanes, elephants, foxes, and…. BUTTERFLIES. This butterfly backpack that they sent for Lilly is so cute I can’t stand it. She is OBSESSED with it and loves pretending to fly around like a butterfly. Pink, light-up sparkle wings?! Yes, please! Every little girl’s dream!

I also love how Bixbee has such a passion for getting kids to be imaginative and just be kids… I mean, what kid wouldn’t want to pretend they are an elephant, a plane, a butterfly, or a fox?! Check out this video:

But seriously, I couldn’t adore Bixbee more! What an amazing company doing amazing things!
