John’s Recent Stitch Fix for Men Review
This is the third time my husband has received a Stitch Fix for Men fix and, once again, he loved it. Here’s John’s most recent Stitch Fix for Men review.
Last month, John was mentioning to me that he was in pretty desperate need of some new shorts (this is true) and some new khaki work pants. Like I’ve mentioned in John’s previous Stitch Fix for men reviews (here and here), this type of service is perfect for a man like him… he doesn’t like shopping and he doesn’t have to leave the house. So, someone “shops” for him (his stylist), and he doesn’t have to leave the house since the fix is delivered to our doorstep. In any event, I requested another fix for him and since so many of you have loved his Stitch Fix reviews in the past, I thought this would be helpful to share his most recent one!
How does Stitch Fix for Men work?
It works JUST like Stitch Fix for women!
- Simply have your guy (or I guess you could do it for him) visit StitchFix.com and fill out a style profile. And BE SPECIFIC!!
- Schedule a “Fix” and a stylist will hand-select FIVE pieces raging from pants, to shirts, to shoes, to accessories that the stylist thinks will work for him.
- A $20 styling fee is charged, but if you keep anything from the fix, that $20 fee is credited towards your fix.
- Wait and receive your fix on your doorstep. Try everything on and keep what you like and send back what you don’t. Shipping is free both ways!
That’s it!
So, want to see what John got and what he thought and what he kept? As usual, John’s comments crack me up… 🙂 🙂 Keep reading!
John’s Recent Stitch Fix for Men Review
Alesbury – Phoenix Heavyweight Pocket Tee – Size XL – $28
FROM JOHN: “Nothing too special about this shirt. If somebody gave it to me as a gift, I’d probably wear it and wouldn’t hate it, but I don’t like the fit enough to actually buy it.”
ORIGINAL PENGUIN – Jax Heritage Slim Fit Jacquard Polo – SIZE XL – $69
FROM JOHN: “I have plenty of polo shirts, so I probably shouldn’t be keeping this. But I really like the way it fits so I can’t turn it down. I like shirts that are tight in the arms like that and snug in the chest without looking skimpy. In fact, when I put it on, Molly said, “Ooo, I like the way it hugs your biceps.” They should just hire her to stand around in stores at the mall and say stuff like that to dudes when they try on shirts. Sales would be through the roof.”
FLAG & ANTHEM – Quincy Mini Check Short – SIZE 34 – $45
FROM JOHN: “I liked these at first. Liked the color and the style. But they’re not very forgiving in the waist, and sometimes I like to eat doughnuts. And they’re a little tighter in the thighs than I’d prefer.”
HAWKER RYE – Long Sleeve Button Down Shirt – SIZE XL – $48
FROM JOHN: “I like this shirt. I like the color. I like the fit. But I already have 147 shirts like this.”
TAILOR VINTAGE – Westport Performance Pant – SIZE 34 – $78
FROM JOHN: “I was initially appalled by these pants when I put them on. Why are the legs so tight? What am I, a worship leader? They actually started to grow on me after a couple of minutes because the material is actually really comfortable. But they still have problems–they’re way too casual to wear at the office, but they’re also too tight to wear with cowboy boots. And what would be the point of having casual pants that you can’t wear with boots?”
So there you have it!
In the end, he only kept the polo shirt (which didn’t solve his problem for needing shorts or khakis), but it was still a great experience and now to just keep searching!! Have the man in your life give Stitch Fix a try!
What do you think? What do you think John should have kept? Do his comments crack you up as much as they crack me up? Hahaha 🙂
Oh man, his comments are the best! I laughed out loud at the donuts comment and the 147 other shirts like this comment. And then I thought about my hubs and how 95% of his closet is blue shirts and he thinks nothing of buying another stupid blue shirt. Go John!
I was dying laughing at his comments. They cracked me up, too!!! hahahahah 🙂
