3 Quick Natural & Organic Snacks Ready in 3 Minutes or Less
I feel like I am always hungry. As an active mom, I am constantly running from the gym to school drop off and pick up to work to activities to you know, ALL the things… and I’m always hungry. Snacking has been a big struggle for me because, admittedly, I tend to reach for the same things when I’m hungry. I’ll eat a little fruit, then I graduate to crackers, then chips and salsa, a sandwich, maybe a pot roast, and next thing I know I’ve eaten half the pantry. (Jokes, but seriously.) However, I’ve found that if I at least plan a little bit and have a few key ingredients on hand, I can make better choices when it comes to snacking. And since I don’t have a lot of time to put these together, my organic snacks need to be easy, delicious, and FAST!
September was Organic Month and so I partnered with Honest Tea® and Simple Truth® to share with y’all three incredibly easy organic snack ideas that will give you the energy you need to keep doing all that awesome mom stuff you do!
You can get ALL of these items (and a ton more) at Kroger in the Natural Foods aisle! That’s where I get mine. 🙂
3 Organic Snack Ideas Ready in 3 Minutes or Less
ORGANIC SNACKS ONE – Organic Banana Chips & Almond Butter
Grab you some of the Simple Truth Organic® banana chips and smooth Simple Truth® almond butter and do a little dip action. So delicious and I love that there’s absolutely no added sugar, preservatives, or any yucky stuff. Almond butter helps to give you the right nutrients to keep you feeling full longer! That way you’re not as tempted to eat the whole pantry when you get hangry.
ORGANIC SNACKS TWO – Organic White Cheddar Rice Cakes & Pepper Jack Cheese
Grab some of the Simple Truth® white cheddar rice cakes and top it with a little piece of sliced Simple Truth® pepper jack cheese… these are DELICIOUS and the flavors really compliment each other. The pepper jack gives it just enough kick. You know, because you’re a boss and you can handle a little spice in yo’ life.
ORGANIC SNACKS THREE – Organic Dried Fruit (dipped in yogurt with honey – optional!)
I love the Simple Truth Organic® dried fruit. Their dried strawberries and bananas are my favorite, but the apricots, cranberries, and mangoes are also on point. I like to eat them by themselves, but if I’m feeling extra fancy, I’ll dip the dried fruit in a little plain Simple Truth® greek yogurt. And if I’m feeling really fancy, I’ll add a little Simple Truth Organic® raw honey to the yogurt. GIRL, treat yo’self.
And of course you have to wash those snacks down with a cold beverage… the Honest Tea® organic unsweetened peach and ginger tea is SO good. I am not usually an “iced tea” person, but this stuff is so delicious. They have a ton of different flavors and options that are just a tad sweet in addition to unsweetened. The other thing I love about Honest Tea® is that it is not only organic, but also made with fair trade black tea leaves! You guys KNOW my passion for fair trade products… so this makes it a huge win in my book!
