Delicious Ambiguity
I have a lot of favorite quotes. I’m a sucker for a good quote, but truth is, there hasn’t been a quote that has spoken to me more or stuck with me longer than this one:
“I always wanted a happy ending… Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.”
-Gilda Radner
I always looked up to Gilda Radner as a kid, but it was the honest truth about that quote that always made me love it so much. We don’t know where life will take us, we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, and it’s the ambiguity of the future that often brings life’s greatest, most delicious moments.
What’s YOUR favorite quote? Anything that’s spoken to you over the years?
this post is a #NaBloPoMo inspired post…
You have adorable style! I love your outfits and I love your honesty. Great blog!
aw thank you so much, myah!! š <3
What a fabulous quote! I can see why you love it! My Dad always said to me “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” He said it for years, but it was only about 4 years ago that it finally sunk in and I truly appreciated what it meant. I know it seems so small, but that really sticks with me.

LOVE that quote! my dad always said something similar to that – we have some pretty awesome dads!
What an amazing quote! We live in a society where we leave little to no room for spontaneity, and often forget to just “let life happen” sometimes. This is something I’m trying to improve upon daily. Quotes don’t stick with me often either, but years ago I received a fortune that I will never forget – “Never fear shadows. They simply mean there is a light shining somewhere nearby.” Whenever I am going through a hard time, I always think of that quote, and it helps me make it through. š
