triFABB & Apricot Lane Boutique Event and #FundayMonday Link-Up!
Happy Monday! I hope you had a FABULOUS weekend.
Now, I don’t mean to be “that guy” that always talks about the weather in order to break the ice, but can I just have a moment here about this current weather situation in central North Carolina?
It has been raining, like, NON-STOP, for almost a month. I’m done with the rain.
And you know what rain brings? Mosquitoes. ALL OF THE MOSQUITOES! And their bites. ALL OF THEIR STUPID BITES THAT ITCH ME!
And you know what else rain brings? Humidity. ALL OF THE HUMIDITY. And you know what humidity is? Humidity is the enemy of a woman who is nine months pregnant.
Okay, weather rant over.
ANYWHO.
I am so pumped to recap the awesomeness that happened on Thursday and Saturday. AND, even if you don’t live in the central North Carolina area, you’ll love this because I bet y’all will recognize some of your favorite bloggers OR get some fashion-inspiration! 🙂
And organization I helped found called triFABB (Triangle Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle Bloggers – a group for all bloggers in the Triangle region of NC) partnered with Apricot Lane Boutique last week for their grand opening celebration!
Well, on Thursday night, we had a little mini-informal #triFABB meet-up at the new Apricot Lane store in Southpoint Mall. The new store just opened last week and it is ADORABLE! Seriously. If you live in or around Durham, North Carolina, make sure you stop by!
We also partnered with Transforming Hope for them to be the featured charity. I’ve talking about Transforming Hope before – they are an amazing ministry that is working to rescue young women out of the horrific sex trade and housing them here in central North Carolina. Transforming Hope is doing amazing things in this community, so it was great to be able to feature them and raise some money!
I was OBSESSING over their jewelry and their dresses. SO CUTE!
#triFABB members and bloggers Lauren (who happens to also be one of my amazing sponsors) and Lee (a fellow Hillsborough resident and blogger!)
And how adorable is Rebecca? I LOVED that dress on her on the right!
My sweet blog friend, Elise came by! (She is also expecting her first baby and is due in November!)
Some triFABB bloggers at Apricot Lane: Rebecca, Elise, Lauren, Nikki, and Lee.
Nikki looking AMAZING in some of the Apricot Lane outfits.
And Ashley stopped by and tried on some looks, too! I absolutely LOVE this woman – she is amazing.
And Mia looked AMAAAAAZING in this cobalt dress.
Well, on Saturday we were SUPPOSED to have an awesome outdoor runway show with all the triFABB bloggers modeling the Apricot Lane Boutique looks… but unfortunately, that weather I ranted about at the beginning of this post, quite literally, rained on our parade. Or runway show.
So, instead, some of the bloggers got their makeup done and tried on their looks and modeled in the store. Not quite like the runway, but hey, we still had a BLAST!
This was Nikki‘s look for the night… how GORGEOUS is she?
Nikki, Lee, and Rebecca all made up and in their Apricot Lane looks.
Lee looked absolutely STUNNING in this red maxi dress and I loved those necklaces.
I was pretty much obsessed with Rebecca‘s look. I mean, that dress has POCKETS, too!! AHHH!
Y’all know my girl Brooke and how STINKIN’ HOT does she look in that dress? Seriously, only Brooke can pull off this dress and it looked AMAZING on her. I still can’t believe she has a son. This girl is a mom, y’all. She is such an amazing friend and such an amazing mother, I am so glad I have her in my life!
And there goes Mia looking AMAZING in that dress. I told her she needs to wear this cobalt blue color more. And I loved the back of the dress, too!
Some of y’all may know the fabulous Amy of Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins. I LOVE this girl! Well, she recently moved to the area and is now a triFABB member and I’m so excited for us to hang out. How adorable is her Apricot Lane look? I LOVE that top!
There goes Ashley looking super fabulous. Another mom I look up to! I love her!
Mia of Ms Mia Maree and Ashley of Dancing with Ashley.
They had a prize wheel at the grand opening – I won an ADORABLE pair of earrings that have wishbones on them!
Amy and me (I obviously did not model at the event… I was just the organizer and moral support. I don’t think they’d want this super-preggo strutting waddling the runway:
Erin (far left) is the general manager of the Southpoint Apricot Lane store and is SO sweet and so helpful. Erin posing with just a few of the triFABB models (sorry if I missed some of y’all!!)
Me with just a few of the triFABB ladies!
It really was an AMAZING weekend (despite the lame rain). And I can’t wait to find out how much money we were able to raise for Transforming Hope!
Anywho… long blog post, I know, but chock full of awesome fashion and blogger goodness!

Also, I don’t think I ever said CONGRATULATIONS on your momma-to-be status!

I so feel you on the rain! I’m covered with mosquito bites, and they are such a pain. I can’t even imagine being pregnant with tons of mosquito bites and living with this wonderful NC humidity. Best of luck during the rest of your pregnancy!
Loved seeing all the pictures from the TriFabb/Apricot Lane event, looked like a lot of fun! Thanks for doing a recap. I hate I missed it!! 🙁
