I don’t know where I read it, but I read somewhere at some point that maxi skirts are only a summer thing. And that’s plum ridiculous. Maxi skirts are perfect ANY time of year.
I was super pumped to get this skirt in the mail from the fabulous people at Very Jane. I was actually a little hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure I loved the fabric. But, once I tried the skirt on, I fell in love. It’s so soft, so comfortable, and it’s one of those pieces that I know I’m going to wear a TON this fall and winter AND will work in the spring and summer.
On a side note, I never used to be a gold person. In fact, I hated gold. But for some unknown reason, I am LOVING gold lately. Gold jewelry, gold clothes, gold accents. I feel like I sound like Goldmember.
I snagged this gold sweater from the LOFT outlet for $4.77. That, ladies and gents, is what I call a DEAL.
On another random note, John and I have started rewatching LOST from the beginning of the series. This is now my third time watching the show all the way through. It only gets better every time I watch it. I miss LOST so much. Best. Show. Ever.
Anywho.

This might be my favorite outfit you’ve posted! And I’m so happy that maxis can move into fall – I’m trying to figure out ways to wear mine! Also, I also used to hate all things gold, and now I. can’t. get. enough!

I’ve been wanting to start a series from the beginning on Netflix lately. I’ve never seen Lost…isn’t that crazy?!?! I need to start it.
Goodness, after seeing this post I’m think that I might need to find something like that! My problem though is that growing up I was always told “Red headed girls can’t wear red or pink” So I have gone through my 26 years thinking that I can’t wear something. That’s just ridiculous! Also, Lost? I’m like 6 years late to the series ( tried watching it when if first came out but for some reason couldn’t get into it). I’m on the 3rd season now and LOVE it!

I would rather think they would be more convenient in the cooler seasons. I can’t imagine wearing skirts in autumn or winter, but maybe I need to hop on the maxi train so I can!

I used to be the same way! Silver was my go-to metal, and now I LOVE gold.
