Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation Review

Happy Monday! How many of y’all enjoyed the extra hour of sleep on Saturday / Sunday? I was looking forward to it, but unfortunately, I was unable to explain to Lilly the concept of sleeping an extra hour. She’s a baby. She don’t care.

Anywho. I’m back for another Makeup Monday! I’ll be honest, I don’t have a series or anything called Makeup Monday – but it just felt like the right thing to say there.

I got the most recent Influenster VoxBox sample in the mail and I was pumped to try it out. Influenster is basically a free program where you get to try out different products and stuff. Well, here’s my before and after… Note: I have absolutely NO makeup on in the left picture and I ONLY have the foundation on in the right picture. Hence the reason I am looking like I’m the driver of the struggle bus. Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation Review

Overall, I really like it! I’m not someone who usually wears foundation every day. I’m more of a tinted moisturizer or BB cream girl, but as I’m aging (and losing sleep after having a baby) I’m noticing more and more dark circles and uneven spots on my skin so I’m kinda starting to want more coverage. So, I’ve been playing around with some lightweight foundations.

I went to a friend’s baby shower on Saturday and wore it all day and it wore really well. You can see an example of the day-wear in this picture below with my sweet friend Kelly:

  1. Extra sleep is the best! And no worries, I’m a sucker for packaging, too. After all, they have marketing specialists working on that stuff!

    Your YouTube video is just adorable. I don’t use my fingers when applying foundation either. I usually use a foundation brush though. I feel like cosmetic sponges always soak up too much of the product. And I put foundation on my eyes if I don’t have shadow primer. It totally helps your eye makeup last all day! I sometimes put it on my lips as well, when I want a lip color to pop.

    I received this same product in a VoxBox. I’m a fan of foundation myself, but honestly haven’t ever been super impressed by Rimmel London products. I liked this foundation at first, but eventually noticed that it seemed to always be a heavy and cakey. (Though that may be due to living in the Florida humidity.)

  4. I would absolutely love to have an invite to Influensters (did I spell that right ??) For one, I have crazy oily skin and loves to act up whenever I’m in public. Also, you seem to have received this product a full 2 months before it came on the market. I’m not exactly about to turn down an opportunity for free makeup ! Thanks and love your article !!

  20. I have oily skin and live in a super humid place so I’m always looking for a new foundation that will stay in place and leave a matte finish. Might have to try this one out!
