Excuse me while I lose my mind over THE NORTHERN LIGHTS IN THE SKIES ABOVE OUR FARM TONIGHT. 😭

Low quality pic. High quality content. Last night something happened that I will, for the rest of my life, remember. I am in Virginia for some events and was speaking at an amazing church last night @godcchurch, and as I’m sitting down chatting, I hear out of my left ear, “Oh hey girl” and I turn to see my childhood best friend, @_courtney_desiree_. Court and I were inseparable in middle and high school, convinced we were going to be the next Destiny’s Child at the Apollo… sleepovers and late night chats and she was with me through the loss of my mom and so much life. When we graduated high school, I went off to college and she enlisted in the Navy and life took us separate ways, but we kept in touch via social media. But seeing her for the first time in 21!!!! years, the floodgates were opened and I couldn’t stop crying and hugging her. And we picked up right where we left off. We’re grown adults now and God’s done a big work in both of us - I’m so grateful.

I share this because it’s such a sweet reminder that relationships in all stages matter. Court, you being there last night means more than you’ll ever know. I love you till the end. 🥹😭🫶🏼

Today’s my first day of school - I’m starting a three year Masters in Biblical and Theological Studies program at @denverseminary as a part of their women’s leadership cohort - a program specifically designed for women who are speakers, authors, writers, and women in varying church ministry roles. About five or six years ago, I felt a call to attend seminary, audited a few classes, and then put it on the back burner. But God never let the call go… and long story short, He made it super clear this was what I was supposed to do and didn’t stop pursuing until I applied to this program and, well, I got accepted!

I mean… midterms and finals and research papers, OH MY! Just doing the next right thing in faith…
