Just wrapped up my 7th trip through the Bible and every year I learn something new about God, His Word, myself… this year was transformative for me in a lot of ways. Needless to say, every trip through, my love for scripture deepens. I would LOVE for you to join me this year! @thebiblerecap makes the process SO accessible (it’s also available in Spanish and American Sign Language). John and I are also including our kids this year thanks to their new kids resources. We are so excited.

We often would joke that at the apocalypse, the only thing left in the world would be cockroaches and Tater girl. She’s been with us the entirety of our relationship - John got Tater in October of 2009. She’d spent the first 2+ years of her life roaming the Durham streets and birthing puppies. She’s been with us since we started dating, got married, had babies, a couple moves, the deaths of other dogs… she’s eaten entire bottles of prenatal vitamins and bags of potting soil and the arms off kid’s favorite baby dolls and been bitten by snakes and she’s run down busy highways. This girl has kept us on our toes, but she’s always been right there by our side and at our feet. At nearly 17/18 years old, Tater has been through it all with us.

It’s really a bit of a design flaw that humans have to outlive dogs.

It’s been a good run, ol’ gal. Say hey to Audrey for me. 🌈🐶 #taterdog

My first semester of Seminary is done. I’ve learned more about myself and more about God in the last four months than I ever thought possible. Every step of the way though, God has reminded me that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m forever grateful for @denverseminary for paving this path for women like me, for my cohort sisters, and for God for continuing to nudge me closer and closer to Him. #seminary #densem #womeninseminary
